In previous roles, I've used a few newsletter and email tools. Primarily Mailchimp, Flodesk, and Customer.io. For an editorial newsletter especially, beehiiv blows them out of the water. Mailchimp and Flodesk don't compare. Customer.io is a great tool, to be fair, just not for editorial newsletters. I immediately took to the Notion-style editor (I'd already spent a couple years doing all my writing in Notion, feels unnatural writing in Google Docs nowadays). Analytics are great. Best email newsletter tool I've used to date.
