The BBB is supposed to be the watchdogs of businesses but who is supposed to watch the watchdogs? If a business pays the BBB they can be accredited and the BBB will protect them because they have a financial incentive to do so. If not, the BBB is much tougher on how they score a business. There were 2 times I tried to get assistance from the BBB and they were no help at all. One claim was dismissed because it contained the word "crap" as quoted by a provider. The BBB dismissed it for bad language. Really? When it really counted, they were useless. I am sure not everyone at the BBB is bad, but it is an organization that has its profits first, not the customers it serves. It is corrupt and biased. Consumers are NOT this organization's first priority. The BBB would not meet it's own standards if it was measured (unless of course they paid to be accredited ;-)

Businesses > Customers. In my experience, The BBB almost always prioritizes the business over the customer. However, if the business IS NOT BBB accredited, it seems more lenient towards the customer. It's a shame.

Avoid the BBB, it's a completely useless entity in 2022 that protects businesses over customers. They have zero legal recourse and are funded by businesses. Getting an attorney is the way to go!

I wouldn't trust the BBB anymore. It is obvious that they are paid money, by businesses, to get their A+ ratings. They don't care about us consumers. For example, trying to get them to deal with The Home Depot and long story short...they closed our case and we are STILL having issues with The Home Depot. How can we file a complaint against the BBB?

I second the reviews below. The BBB are anything but impartial, and they allow businesses to close cases at will. I wouldn't bother filing a complaint with them.

i understood that the BBB was a site which looked at complaints about an american company. however, their site does not allow you to post unless you are in america, canada or mexico. they have a facebook page but again, if you try to ask a question, it again says that you must have a zip code for america canada or mexico. so the site really is useless to anybody with a complaint about an american company
