Over the years I've realized the BBB is absolutely unreliable and out of date. Seems to give most large companies an automatic "A+" to the point it's now a joke site in my family.

BBB not to be trusted, there are many companies like Angi Ads formally Angies List or Leaf Filter that have a large number of complaints. Angi Ads was revoke from the BBB website, but we all have learned in the past just give the BBB money and they will change it, Angi is not revoke anymore but not a F either, they still have all the complaints but no F same situation with Leaf Filter tons of complaints but no F rating. Makes you wonder how legit the BBB really is.

Hi, I have been using BB for very long time, and thought its trustworthy review place. Until i had issue with a company, and file a report to BBB. Not only they dont create a case, and they simply closed the case, and DID not bother to post it at all. Claiming that company in Vancouver . BC is correct. After few email exchange, they even admit that they follow other company policy Now i understand those review are faked, and BBB is funded by local business. So basically they care about the local business more than other. Go to wikipedia, they are tellling the truth, BBB are supported by local business. Basically its a show to make you feel that it is a neutral entity. In fact, they are giving bias to whoever paid more locally. If they are big or gave enough fund, they dont bother create a case, NOR POST that complain or view on BBB. Basically they will remove bad review on behalf of the business they support. Therefore BBB.org is NO longer a neutral. Hope more people can see it. I was searching for bad practice from google, i have to tried multiple times, and go back many pages. Finally found this page. Now i understand im not the only person found out bbb.org is not a neutral agency. We are all train to believe bbb.org is credible agency. In fact, they are helping those who funded them most to remove bad complains. So sad but truth until you found out the "neutral" bbb.org is not what most people think its. Hope more people realized, and found out the bad side of bbb.org Have a good day for those see it here! :D

BBB,Another waist of space. Is this the new normal procedure nowadays? Yeah just ignore/do not respond, to everyones genuine complaints. When one has been ripped off for a substantial amount of money, just sling them a rubber ear/ignore, which is shocking & unacceptable, I'm not impressed. :-( :-(

I have tried to use the better Business bureau several times and every single time they have never been helped with any company. You're wasting your time completely using these people The only thing they do is use our complaints give them to the business so the business can try to pretend to better themselves and then they pay the better business bureau for the information. The better business bureau is not for the consumer they are a rip off they are a scam

Dear BBB, Thank you. I have repeatedly informed you that Yahoo did not provide the required information. If they give me something that has nothing to do with my request, then how could it be considered "answered". By the way, could you please explain what the definition of "answered" is? Is BBB considering that even if Yahoo provides me with a reply that doesn’t make any sense, it is considered "answered" and the request is fulfilled? I have firmly informed BBB that you should not publish this case as "answered". I hope the BBB will be fair in your conduct. You claim you will help/ensure the victims/consumers receive fair treatment from the service providers, but are you really being fair in this case? You keep siding with Yahoo U.S., although they didn’t perform their job. Please read all their emails to me and see how rudely and badly they are answered. Is this considered "answered" for you? You may close this case, but not with the remark "answered". I am strongly against publishing this case with an "answered" status. Otherwise, I will need to lodge an official complaint with the BBB for not being fair but claiming to be one just for your publicity. I will post my review on BBB for this matter as well if you post this case as "answered". Since I lodged this case, I must agree with BBB for you to place this case in "answered" status. I believe the BBB will practice integrity in handling any cases. I will not contact the BBB for any service provider-related matters, as I feel you are not being fair in your conduct in this matter.

Was struggling to rectify a bad situation with a company and felt it best to take it through BBB, and boy was I wrong! I was never provided a case number, just a temporary ID, only one follow up on my complaint, which I responded to immediately, then didn't receive another response with exception to them saying my complaint was closed due to me not responding. I dug into the complaint to find out the company did respond to my response, but it was never sent to me, and without a proper case number, I couldn't look anything up without them sending me information. I dug through my emails and they never sent me communication about the most recent response. Doing a little reading online the BBB has been known to be a "pay to play" company where they really don't care about the consumer, just lining their pockets. It's a virtual mafia, shaking down bad companies for money in order to get a good rating.
