The system does not have functionality to notify the emergency contact person on the account when it emits a warning message from the box to call. If a person is unconscious or unable to move how will that automated audio message do any good for getting help? I also think the system should run scans if phones are off the hook for a period of time and notify the emergency contact person listed on the account. The system only works if the phone is on the hook. Not a good system.

Hi there - Our call boxes are not automated messages, they do in fact connect directly to our Certified United States based dispatch centers. You will hear "calling for help" once the button is pushed or a fall is detected (for Fall Detection Button). Then it will connect with a live dispatch operator who will ask if you need help. If there is no response they will take the proper protocol to ensure family/emergency personnel is contacted. If a person has concerns about falling and being knocked unconscious, typically seen in those who take medications that make them dizzy or suffer from strokes/seizures, our Fall Detection Button may be a better option. We do perform weekly tests on the system connection, but cannot test whether a button is working as we cannot push it ourselves. We advise all customers to test the system base unit as well as their button(s). If you have further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to give us a call to better assist you and ensure you that our system works to help individual's during an emergency.
