The product does what I wanted for a reasonable price. However, the accessory I subsequently ordered was very over-priced (a jewelry-style cover for the wearable alarm button).

Normally, I have been doing a routine check in the house to see that everything is working properly with my equipment. I decided to check outside since I walk most mornings. When I called in, I did not get a quick response from the main office as I usually do. After a few minutes, I went back in the house. About 10 minutes later, I had a doorbell ring. @ Fire fighters from down the street were there to see if I was all right. Meanwhile I got a call from my daughter who lives in Virginia to check on me since she had been notified that something might be wrong. There was a three way call between the 3 of us. Bay Alarm said that the reception was bothered by the tall trees in my yard. I will try again outside later on in an area that doesn’t have trees over head.

The response from a button getting pushed was immediate. I was always able to explain it was an accidental push. One time the device sent an alarm but I was only sitting at the table talking to my nurse aid, so I'm not sure why it sent an alert. The location for the device was off by an entire street behind our backyard. The wristband began to cause an allergic reaction while wearing it. Overall, I had no problems using it.

Staff are always there and helpful. The alarm is bulky. The hardware that fastens the alarm to its cord is fragile and easy to break. If you buy the fall alert, don't move for 30 seconds after you fall or the alarm will not go off. You'll have to press the button yourself. They do not take checks. You must have an electronic way to make payments.

It worked fine on the bracelet, the pendulum was too sensitive.

Customer service was helpful, though you really need to work on glitches in your online set-up form so no one has to call customer service about those problems.

The system works well if it’s set correctly. Mine was operating without the option to stop a false alarm for a few months. After a frustrating phone assistant whose advice made no difference, I did get the help needed and it was set correctly. Generally it works fine, but I have suggestions: Buttons are too easily pushed. I have only experienced false alarms, and too frequent alarms; having only one alarm box makes it difficult to get to it to cancel, and at times I don’t even hear it from another room; the button in the wrist band falls out and too difficult to put back in for me.

I had a technical issue with logging into my online account. The customer service representative, Mary, was extremely professional, courteous and pleasant. The only reason i didn't give it five stars, is the issue has not been resolved yet. But has been escalated to the IT department.
