We ordered the Bay Alarm Medical because of the rave reviews. My mother is VERY non-technical and resistant to change. The reviews seemed to indicate this company would be a good match. First she was not happy with the size and look of the main unit. She thought it made her home look like she's an 'old lady'. They really should keep in mind that many older people like to keep fashionable. The same with the pendant. And the button on the pendant is raised enough that she can accidentally activate it!! Yikes. It has happened a couple of times and it scares her to death. When I emailed for suggestions about this there was little help. They just said she could shorten the cord on the pendant. I didn't even pass that along to her, I know she would be annoyed. I give the company 5 stars for super quick delivery and quick response for those accidental activations. I give it 2 stars for appearance of the equipment and flexibility in types of pendants. If I had it to do over I would check more carefully about the type of pendant and make my choice based on that.

Everything seems to be working fine. We have never had to really use it. Only complaint it seems to take a while for someone to answer when you call in to test. That causes a little concern.

There are many challenges for aging parents and their children, especially when the parents are still living independently. Having the Bay Medical Alarm added was a very simple way to affirm their independence and offers a little peace of mind for them and the children that care for them.

so far so good...bought this for my Mom based on its ratings...billing has been on time...not taken earlier than expected. Asked her if she was wearing it and of course "Its right on my bureau if I need it" Hah! ... I knew it ...had to educate her again as it took me a couple years just for her to somewhat agree to me getting it for her! Hopefully she is now wearing it as I am states away & can not check. When first installed it did not allow her phone # to display when she called out but that was resolved quickly.

I researched life alert systems and Bay Alarm seemed to be the best choice . I have accidentally triggered the system ( the cat stood on the button) and they responded right away. I know if I need help they are available. I like the option of the lockbox for the keys so the door doesn't t have to be broken down. I like being able to cancel without penalty. I like being able to get a device for my husband for an additional fee but we are both protected. All in all this system beats the other well known but more expensive brands.

My 85 year old mother lives alone and her Bay Alarm system gives her peace of mind knowing someone is there if needed. The staff at Bay Alarm were very informative and a pleasure to work with.

So far so good, the only problem was that my order arrived without the GPS unit in the order. I contacted customer service and was told it would be expressed out and I'd receive it on Tuesday (this was Friday). On Tuesday I teceivef notice my package had been shipped. The missing part of my order FINALLY arrived on Thursday. This the reason for 4 stars. The system connected easily, however, the fact that my order was incomplete and then arrived several days after it was promised are my only complaints. To Bay Medical's credit they did call me after receiving an email questioning why my order was shipped on the day it was to have arrived. They did answer the test call immediately which was nice.

I purchased the Bay Alarm Medical system for my grandmother, who lives alone and had fallen down a few times. The system gives me peace of mind in knowing that should she have another accident and be alone, that help can be on the way immediately. Thank you Bay Medical!
