The device is meant to be worn 24/7. The plastic on the necklace broke and it was not covered by warranty. The replacement cost $20 plus shipping. I just can’t believe it’s not covered by warranty. If you are wearing something every day, it should be either stronger or covered by a warranty.

I am not sure where to put the small box because if I am in the kitchen and mistakenly hit my watch, you can’t hear me from the kitchen. I could wish I could speak directly to the watch since I wear it all the time.

I called for help updating the emergency contacts. The rep didn’t seem to understand my question. His answer was for him to do it for me. I want to know how to use the system myself. I was using the website and it is very cumbersome. After the call I downloaded the app and was able to rearrange the contacts much more easily. I specifically asked if the app would be a better way to accomplish this and he just offered to do it for me. Was not very helpful.

Rep had her own agenda wrt my call. I had a very narrow question/issue (cancel button not working) but she made me go through her list of issues. For example, she insisted on validating the cellular connection which was 1) not an issue; and 2) irrelevant because I was not at the location that the watch will be when I give it to my father.

Battery life of fall detection device is fair at best. Mother has had the extra pendant for fall detection for only ten months and it set off more low battery alerts than I can count. The representative was very helpful in trouble shooting which device was signaling a low battery alert which made me suggest it was defective. I was advised that it was NOT defective, as the battery is only good for, ironically, “10 months to two years”, and I could purchase a new device for $49 since I did not have it under warranty for $4.99/month. News to me. I cancelled the $10/month fee for fall detection monitoring. I feel that these devices should last longer than ten months and should have immediately been replaced free of charge. Not the representatives fault but it makes me suspicious on the battery life on the main medical alert pendant, which I was told has a 3-5 year battery life. We shall see. All in all, the monitoring system is very good and the representative was knowledgeable of the equipment, but the battery life is definitely suspect.

People are helpful but my confidence in the equipment is diminishing. I am not very confident the help button will work when actually needed, as it seems to become disconnected quite often and battery only lasts about 12 hours before needing recharged.

Not sure what was done will correct the problem of the mobile device not wanting to charge when I place it in the cradle, but we'll see. I think the problem is the cradle. When I place the mobile device in the cradle it doesn't seem to fit in the cradle as tight as it used to.

Device was fairly simple to set up (once we realized it auto-connects to cell service - which is awesome!), and agents really do respond quickly, but was too heavy for my mother to wear around her neck. Despite all my calls and research, I chose the wrong model. When I went to exchange for another (lighter) model, I was told I would need to 1. repack initial equipment (which is fine) 2. make my own label (address not easy to find) 3. return at the post office 4. pay shipping charges 5. insure in case it is lost In 2026, most reputable companies require a few clicks and a label is printed (or emailed), and smaller packages placed in mail box for seamless return. These extra steps would be a BIG inconvenience to someone who was using the device, and did not have a family member to assist them.
