Total failure of fall alert system. My MIL has had 2 significant falls while wearing her pendent with fall alert. Fortunately, for her & us, we were able to capture her falls on a separate video surveillance system. This is a 100% failure rate of device. With her latest fall, I was told that the battery life is only 8 - 24 months. It seems to me, if this is a known fact within your company equipment function that customers would be contacted & made aware of this prior to a fall occurring, not being captured & risking the lively hood of your consumers.

The cradle wouldn't charge the unit.So they're sending me a replacement. Not a good start for my perspective.

I got tired of the key fob being activated when it was gently touched. So I called yet again and told them. A few days later I had just gone to bed, NO alarm or call but I suddenly noticed I had received a call from the fire department saying they were on their way after receiving a call from Bay Alarm! I cancelled and next day called them to CANCEL the service. I got a pretty hard sell from the agent wanting to reset and test but I told her AGAIN I wanted to CANCEL. She then wanted to know who would I be having to replace their service. None of your damn business! I sent it back as instructed, 10 days later I get a message from them asking me to test the system! Then I get a call from one of my emergency contacts saying Bay Alarm had called her to check on me. I called BA AGAIN and was told I had never cancelled the service. Lie, glad I recorded the call when I cancelled! I think this company is a mess and invasive with their behavior. I do NOT TRUST them! Good riddance, I’ll be checking to make sure they don’t charge my card in the future.

Technician hung up on me without resolving the problem.

THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME TO FIND US IN A CROWDED RESTAURANT. The device went off while waiting in line to get in, no abrupt motion, nothing. We told the voice on the watch AND the two people who called sequentially we didn't need anything, and they STILL sent the fire department. On one occasion this service was helpful because it detected a fall, but it has also detected 10 other "falls", sometimes when sitting down watching TV or reading a book; no sudden moves, nothing at all. The smartwatch itself starts to speak (embarrassing--and as garbled as a 1980s drive through) and then two calls follow. On top of that, unless you charge it twice a day you'll run out of battery; this is early 2000s battery technology. I paid for an entire year, and just 3 months in I've had just about enough and considering other options. It's hard enough to get a senior to use one of these things, but the awful service makes them determined never to use one again. Ugh. AWFUL.

Cell reception not acceptable for service.

Husband was in hospital when I ordered the device. He is home and doing well. Never opened the box containing the device. Called to return it and because it wasn’t in their time frame for return…I will not receive any refund. How sad is that. I would understand had we used it but it is brand new and the box was never opened.

We have used bay alarm for over 5 years. Recently, our elderly Mother fell in her kitchen and broke her hip and wrist. She was found unconscious on the floor trying to push her bracelet alert button but for some reason did not alert. While she was in hospital and skilled nursing center for recovery, I called Bay Alarm to see if we could temporarily pause the service without canceling since she wouldn’t be in her home and didn’t need the service until she returned home. They said no, you will need to cancel service. Moreover, I was threatened with increased charges, return box fees and another activation fee should I turn service back on later. Why should we pay for a service that isn’t needed for a few months (because system failed to protect her). Needless to say, we are cancelling the service and never again using bay alarm!
