I have only had this service a couple of months. Initial contact with customer service was very informative and thorough. Monitor was received as described and billing has not been a problem. I have not had to use the service yet, but did run a test. The response time on that test run was a little over 3 minutes, which seemed a little long to me. The representative who answered my test call apologized and explained that they were having an unusually busy evening.

I haven't had it very long and no reason to use it only test it once. Only had a little over a month.

Easy set up but no comment at this time

My finding this system in place when I returned home from being hospitalized was initiated by one of my children, I wore the monitor because they had ordered it. I think you will agree that people of my generation (80s) would not have thought such a device necessary. When I became less dependent on others, and especially when I leave town, I left it behind. Is this system something I can return to you and no longer be charged? I would appreciate your response. Helen Vande Polder

Cheaper than Life Alert. With Bay Medical we had to pay 3 months up front, so we paid about $90, compared to Life Alert's $50+ a month. When my aged father pushed his neck pendant on accident, he did receive a call from Bay Medical. But because my father is hard of hearing he did not respond to Bay Medical's person that called to make sure my dad was okay. So the police and fire truck came and responded to a false alarm. So Bay Medical did their job, of which I was grateful for. Because of the false alarm, Bay Medical, after calling the police, was suppose to call me, but did not. That's when I realized that there was a form to fill out so I would get that call after an emergency. I believe only hard copies or faxes of that form were accepted. No electronic submissions. I do not like the way the neck pendant is made. So I cut off the connecting plastic part (because my father pulled it loose and fell off his neck) and just tied a knot with the satin cord. I like that this pendant is waterproof so my father wears it in the shower. He really never takes the pendant off. We did purchase a $50 lockbox from Bay Medical. We realized that the paramedics needed a key to open the door if there was no one available in an emergency. We did not want our door broken down, so we invested in the $50 lockbox. I liked that it was made of metal and it took a 4-digit combination to open. Overall, Bay Medical has been a good value with good service at $30 a month, but don't care for the 3 months at a time payment. Side note: be sure to save the box the alarm system comes in so you can easily mail it back to the company.

Great devices but customer service leaves much to be desired. Intrusive e-mails for paperwork already signed and faxed in is annoying. Inability to reach a specific service advisor when calling in is very frustrating. Service is rated the best, just do not look for assistance from the home office.

Only concern is neck lanyard connection to call button is not as sturdy as it should be. I actualy stepped on my call button as it fallen off the necklace without my knowledge.

So far it's good...no problems
