They sent me the wrong vest and it took forever to get it.

I palced an order for Flexible Armor for Vertx Gamut 2.0 Backpacks on 9/30/22. Later got it in the mail, nothing special, regular delivery. Tried to fit it into my Vertx Gamut 2.0 (Gamut) backpack and was disappointed immideately - it didn't fit. I was sceptical before ordering it, because in the description picture it is just a rectangular plate, whereas the Armor plate pocket in the Gamut and the Gamut itself has a "tapered" at the top shape. Other popular brand which makes Gamut armor plates, have them tapered shape - its easy to find online. I contacted their support, send them pictures of Gmaut original (tapered) plastic insert that comes with the backpack next to their armor plate (straight rectangular) and got the short answer that: 1. It is the right shape and it fits. 2. They don't give a pig's tail about how other companies do it. I tried sending them the photo againg, describing that tapered means wider on one end (at the bottom) and narrower on the other end (at the top) and when you try to put a straight rectangular plate it will simply not fit in there. Next reply was the email with the picture form their website with 5.11 backpack with their plate in it in the common pocket of the backpack. On that I mentioned that its not a Gamut backpack in the picture + Gamuts have a dedicated pocket for the plates. They don't go into the common pocket area together with your backpack stuff. After this I had a response that they can give me an RMA# for the return but not paying for anything, because THIS IS THE CORRECT ITEM. And that was the response from Rina - Customer Service Supervisor. Well, if THIS is a supervisor, I'm scared to imagine how it is to deal with their regular representatives. Be aware, that Battle Steel is a rebranded Botach.com. Obviously, rebranding didn't help - something tells me that the issues are within. Buyers beware.

Wish I had a product to actually review. Free shipping is nice and all, but not when it takes weeks to get here (at week 3 as I write this now and still nothing). This happened with everything I ordered so far. Makes it even more annoying as I get spammed with emails to review their products when I have yet to get it. Also, considering the long wait, the use of UPS, and if you were to buy a say lvl 4 plates. Rough handling/dropping it could damage the plate.

Although your email said my product was shipped over a week ago, I’ve not received it.

I received the wrong item. I paid $190 for a Level III plate, and received in the mail an $80 Level IIIA plate. I hope Battle Steel corrects this error and sends me the correct item.

how can i review a product,when i have yet to receive it. i mean really.???
