This is specifically for Batelle Babies since our daughter is too young for the regular program. We started when she was three months and we were both at our breaking point - 45 minute minimum bedtime process where we’d stand and bounce her, up 4-5 times a night, inconsistent naps. Absolutely everything is better now. Lucie, Kim and Emily are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I will say we were about a month in and things were somewhat better but not the results we’d hoped for given the price, but you have to stick it out and it’s so worth it in the end. Go all in on the program and it’s very likely going to work out better than you’d hoped. The method is not cry it out which was really important for me. Our daughter has success now being put to bed by babysitters and grandparents too.

Much more than ‘sleep school’
Batelle teaches the parents a method for helping their children cultivate emotional self-regulation at bedtime and throughout the night. Two things happen along the way as you go through the training: (1)the parents learn emotional self-regulation themselves, and (2) you discover that the benefits of the method extend well beyond sleep time and sleep issues. Mastery of the method is challenging, but it beats the alternative (being emotionally disregulated) by a long shot. You also learn all this in a very supportive atmosphere, from caring humans that 'have been there' with their own little ones. All in all, a friendly, effective, profound experience. Thank you!

This has changed our lives!
This sleep program has changed our lives. We went from our son taking an hour to fall asleep at bedtime, waking constantly in the night and me having to sleep with him to keep him asleep to now he is sleeping 11 hours by himself and falling asleep independently. I was barely sleeping before and my mental health was struggling. Words cannot express how life changing this was. Everyone at batelle was so supportive and I felt heard and cared for during a really emotional time for me. It brings tears to my eyes to think how much they have helped me and our family.

Sawyer is 15months and has a 5 year old…
Sawyer is 15months and has a 5 year old brother. Sawyer has been a tough sleeper since the beginning and the added worry of disrupting his brother with screaming crying has been a big stress from the start. We decided to try Batell, are currently on step 8 and thrilled. We are learning to be supportive of our children and here them while holding appropriate boundaries. The support is fantastic and really allowed me to take on a much more active roll sharing the responsibility better with my wife. Last night when I quickly got disoriented and concerned Amy M quickly joined over the camera and was able to provide me with reassurance and some tweaks to my method that resulted is Sawyer falling asleep with only verbal and emotional support. The amazing part was it happened in only minutes. Thank you to the Batell team for helping me to make last night a success and build towards long term sleep health for my family.

Effective and supportive!
First, I want to give a brief overview of our experience, then a more detailed story for the families who might relate.
Batelle offers a very gentle approach to sleep training that was best suited for our parenting style and what we want for our children. The constant and consistent support we received was top-tier coming from some of the kindest people we've met armed with expertise in their respective fields that proved to be incredibly useful and reassuring, especially when we had our moments of struggle. In our opinion, as long as you fully commit to the process and consider being dynamic in your application of their teachings when you feel the need to adapt them to your child's specific needs, you will succeed. You have to be reasonable about your expectations and consider that some fine-tuning of each step may be necessary as what works for one child, may not for another. However, the concepts taught are VERY universal and for us, only minor adjustments had to be made along the way. Obviously, I cannot speak for anyone, but ourselves, but this has been a very successful experience after a long road of challenges prior to sleep school.
Our family has struggled with sleep since our little one was born and we knew early on that it would likely be a fairly long-term challenge for us. When our son was 5 months old, after several months of contact napping, we decided to sleep train him and used a modified cry-it-out/Ferber method taught to us by another sleep consultancy. It was extremely emotionally stressful, but it did end up working. However, only for about 2 months. At that point, the memory of the crying-it-out was too much for us, so we gave in and began holding our son to sleep. Fast forward to 22 months and now he's taking almost 2 hours to go to sleep, even while being held, and waking up every night at 1:30am and coming to our bed to finish the night. After 10 days with Batelle, our son is now taking 30 minutes or less to fall asleep without us even being in the room, and he's sleeping all the way until his ideal wakeup most nights. Some nights, he wakes up 30-60 minutes before, but, realistically, now that we're getting a full night's sleep, that is of no major consequence to us. I highly recommend the Batelle Sleep School to anyone that doesn't want to use a cry-it-out method and needs to get some darn sleep!

It's Worth More than Just a Full-Night's Sleep
After two weeks with Batelle, I honestly feel like my whole outlook on parenting has changed. I feel more confident in my ability to be a 'sturdy leader' -- and, more importantly, I feel confident (and amazed by!) my baby's ability to do hard things. The lessons we learned in sleep school will change our lives in far more ways than just providing the benefit of a full-night's sleep (although that's certainly life-changing in it's own right!). So grateful this service and community exists in the world!

The Best Choice for Your Child and Your Sleep!
Before Batelle, our daughter (8m) was waking every half an hour until we finally brought her into our room around 3am, just so we could get some sleep. The only way she napped was if I held her for it. We were desperate for some help on how to get her sleep on track. This program was life changing, not only is she sleeping through the night, we are working on naps and so far she has 1 nap in her crib! The journey you go on with Batelle and their amazing team is life changing! It's about so much more than just sleep. The skills I've learned will help me through her childhood. I have only good things to say and recommend them to anyone! The support you receive through the entire process is phenomenal!

Changed our lives for the better
I started Batelle not knowing if it would work for me. I took a leap as I needed help with my daughters sleep and in turn my own. My daughter was co-sleeping since 2 months old and I resigned to the fact that she would be until college. I am against the 'cry it out' method which is what originally brought me to Batelle.
Before Batelle, my 16 month old was co-sleeping, had a 1+ hour bedtime routine, 5+ wake ups a night needing 15-30 minutes to put her back down, and she would most times wake up the moment I got up to leave no matter how long I was in there. This left me with no time to myself and caused a lot of stress. I can't be the only parent out there that would give up and just join them in bed, crying myself to sleep in frustration.
Fast forward 2 weeks into the Batelle Sleep School, my now 17 month old is sleeping in her own crib, 15 minutes sleep routine, no night time wake ups, and has a consistent nap schedule. She's in bed by 7pm and wakes up consistently at 7am.
I can say that this program has changed both me and my partners lives tremendously, and I am grateful for all of their support.
