Basis Pet (Not Basic Pet)Reviews of basispet.com

I wanted to get the right size dish for my Maine Coon kitten: One that he could enjoy now, but that would continue to serve him when he grew into his full size. I emailed my query and Mike gave me a fast, compassionate answer. In the end the size I selected was perfect, but I really felt that if I had to make an exchange it would have been hassle-free.

This is a great company and run by someone who really cares about what he is offering to the public. Their products are first-rate and most importantly SAFE for our pets! I have bought several of their stainless steel bowls and they are quite impressive (just compare them to ones that are typically sold in stores- there is no comparison). Basis Pet bowls are heavy - unlike the flimsy, thin ones you find elsewhere - with a really nice brushed finish. But best of all, they are made in the USA! And tested! It's comforting to know the good food and pure water that I feed my dog is not going to have horrible chemicals leeching into it from the bowl! I also bought the Rise Pet Bowl Stand and again, was very happy at the quality of it! Obviously a lot of thought put into it - made from FDA and NSF listed food contact safe HDPE plastic, free from phthalates and BPA. That was important to me since my dog not only likes to lick the bowl clean, but anything the bowl sits in! A breeze to clean too! This stand is solid and does not move around when it is being used. You cannot go wrong with any of the Basis Pet products! I HIGHLY recommend them! (And no, I do not work for this company, I just really like their products!)

These are heavy duty stainless steel, not the thin, cheap things you buy at the "big box stores". My cats love them. Due to the design, they can get every bite out of the bowl. Since they are good quality stainless steel, they are heavy enough that the cats do not scoot them around on the floor when they eat. I highly recommend these bowls.

My wife and I care for our domesticated friends very much. If an item is not of sufficient quality for our own use (at times exceeding those standards) - then it is not good enough for our animals. We search without compromise to source only the best "Made in USA" products and foods for our animals. It is this determination that led us to Basis Pet. We own numerous Basis Pet stainless steel bowls - which we use some for our animals - as well as some for ourselves. They are certainly of high quality - and unlike the "Made in USA" ceramic bowls we used - these do not break when (someone) drops them on the hard floor. The new raised bowl stand is again - high quality. And the Elk Antler is not only a favorite of our two dogs - but also reasonably priced and far superior to the Deer Antler usually found in retail stores. Basis Pet however is not just about great products - they are also about great customer service. Mike ships promptly with reasonable rates and he has always been helpful and courteous. I believe there's a special place in his heart for animals and it shows in the products he sells and the way he does business. We thank you, Mike.

We have heard and read so much about the bad grains in dog foods which led me to doing some research. During that research I found information about the types of dishes that are out there. I have to admit I was looking for "cutsie" dishes for our puppy BUT I found they weren't good either, the stainless steel ones were. Then I found out about the dishes not made in the USA and the issues with them. That's when I came upon the Basis web site. With no hesitation I ordered the dishes. They arrived in perfect condition and we are VERY PLEASED. Thank you for looking out for our little 4 footed family members. Will definitely go back to this site.

your product is beautiful. the holders could use some more thought, something more minimal so as not to take away from the beauty of the bowl. very nice to be able to talk to someone, every time, without pushing #2 for more options.

If you want the best quality and safest bowls for your dog, you will select Basic Pet. Made in USA! Quality is #1. I purchased two Basic Pet bowls a couple of years for our German Shepherd. They are still like new. I just purchased the engraved wood stands. Love them.

First and foremost my cats love them and I know they are healthy for them. The quality and craftsmanship of these bowls make them easy to love. Quality like this only comes from the U.S.A. Couldn't be more pleased!
