Completely uncommunicative. In a world of crappy apps and web-services that are matrix of confusing links and conflicting information, this one tops my list. And, the worst part? ZERO customer service.

As others mentioned, this is a bait and switch company. They are now paying 0% interest on checking where you collect rent and make payments so if you want to earn any interest at all you have to double the number of accounts by having savings as well and manage the complexity of transfering money between all those accounts. There is no overdraft protection so you will not earn interest on most of your money. Really disappointed since I liked the concept of having everything in one place and simplifying the financial management of properties, but I will be moving my money elsewhere.

Baselane refused to honor the terms and conditions of their own welcome bonus promotion I qualified and met the criteria for, and then when I contacted customer service asking for the bonus I was owed and detailing with screenshots and timelines they denied having the bonus up on their website, blaming a 'cache' issue, despite my time-stamped screenshots of the promotion being live on their website. They then got my account confused with another account, and shared private account information and screenshots with me from someone else's account (!) including transactions and acct numbers. Unbelievable. I told them that was unacceptable to not honor their own bonus and they replied that it was unfortunate that I was "wasting their time" with my inquiry. Take your money elsewhere. Updated to add: the "facts" they responded with are inaccurate and I have proof from the fine print of their website on 12/22/23 that that is the case. Their attempt to preserve their reputation through accusing customers of gaming the promotion they rightfully qualified for and met the criteria for is unfortunate, especially for an institution that claims to be customer-centric. They made no attempt to resolve the situation with integrity.

Horrible customer service. The login bugs constantly. An error message keeps telling me the login info is wrong, but guess what? If you just keep sending the same info, the account magically opens. Does that sound safe to you? I initiated a deposit from my personal account into our Baselane business account on Feb 15. A week ago. It's still showing as processing. The UX/UI looked nice in the beginning, but after setting up the whole account, the dashboard still has the welcome info, inviting me to set it up. What? We're switching out of this system over to Stessa, as soon as we can get Baselane customer service to answer the phone....

They don’t take account fraud seriously. Someone opened an account with this company in my name without my knowledge or consent. I received a card in the mail last year and get emails to a secondary email. I’ve requested numerous times that they close the account and send me copies of any statements that were generated in my name. I can’t verify the phone number on the account to access the account t online because again, I didn’t open it. They still haven’t closed the account. I wouldn’t trust them. I’m now going to the FTC to resolve my complaint.

This company has a lot of potential, but it has a long way to go before established landlords should move their businesses over. I tried to set up properties on it and had a few questions. While calling got me a "Tier 1 Agent" (who couldn't answer any technical details about the site), the only way to speak with someone about actual account issues of usability is to schedule a call. The first available call was 2+ weeks out and I booked it, only to be stood up by Baselane. I can't imagine what it would be like to have an actual banking issue where I needed money quickly out of a property's account. I imagine I would have to wait a month to hopefully speak with someone and that I would be passed around without answers like I have been so far. I was really excited to have this software pull most of the best landlord features together into one space, but it seems they have a long way to go before I'd trust them with my rental portfolio or money. For now, I'll use a different software. Maybe they will improve as they age and, if so, I would consider them again- cautiously.

I hate to write bad reviews, but my experience has been terrible. They made this switch to a new bank account internally, which is okay. It is a pain, and I dont want to update my information on a bunch of account, but okay. I get it. I updated my bank information for everything that is on autopayment with the newest information, and now everything is getting returned. My loan payments? Failed. My Condo Fees? Failed. I have hundreds in return check fees and late fees due, and I did everything to update the information. Support? Useless. They keep telling me that i must not have updated the account information. I did! I sent screen shots showing that I updated it. The response? Well, you must not have updated your bank information. Sent more screenshots! The Response? Well, we dont see any problems on our side so I will forward the request to the bank. WTFFFFFFF. WHERE IS THE MONEY!?! What do you mean you are going to send the request to the bank? that has been days ago, and people are reaching out saying I owe money. Rent is due tomorrow, and will I get paid? Who knows? Maybe the money just disappears into thin air. WHERE IS MY MONEY AND WHY CANT I SPEND IT??

Baselane banking doesn't deliver the card. Have been requesting help for close to a month and nothing, only thing they say is "please wait". If you are looking to have a card attached to your bank account, Baselane Banking isn't for you.
