Terrible customer service overall. Empty promises and inaccurate information. Simple transaction of transferring money to the new account will take 6 business days, not the 2-3 days as advertised. Customer service is dismal. It took forever to get responses over chat and the associate refused to send me to a manager or supervisor. I confirmed that Baselane has my money as of yesterday, but is not giving me access to my own money until sometime next week. They clearly couldn't care less. I can only assume 6 days for any basic business transactions would cripple a new business so now I have to wait weeks to get my money back so I can close this account and get an account at a REAL bank. Avoid this company at all costs. Update: Now that is took a week for my transfer, I tried to deposit by check only to find out that they limit deposits to $5000 per day. So if you have any money to move into your account they purposefully make it near impossible. Im sure they will blame something else again. Dismal "bank". What a joke.

I strongly caution landlords against using Baselane. My experience has been financially risky and incredibly frustrating. When $40,000 of rent payments were stuck in limbo for weeks, I discovered that Baselane has no real support structure—every call reached the same person, with no management or escalation path, and their only solution was text-based replies. Since Baselane is just a wrapper for Stripe, I had no way to resolve the issue directly, leaving me with mortgages and expenses due while my funds sat frozen. The company lacks transparency (no visible leadership, no clear office presence, and no reliable address for legal correspondence), and it does not deliver on its promises of two-day transfers. Even paper checks would have been safer. This isn’t about fraud—it’s about a company too small and unstructured to responsibly manage landlord finances. I regret trusting them with my money and information, and I recommend landlords avoid Baselane entirely.

If you're new to real estate investment, I would recommend you think twice about creating an account with Baselane. Their customer service is lacking at best. The thought of online banking can be appealing until something goes wrong and you have to deal with automated bots as they they don't have live customer service reps. They will just do what they want to do and they won't explains any of their decisions. If you want a bank that will treat you like a real, valued customer and not a random account number, then look elsewhere for your business banking needs.

Terrible Customer Service. I heard about them on Bigger Pockets and thought they would be a great solution for property management. I applied for an account and was approved within a few hours. Started setting everything up, wasting hours customizing the properties and tenant information. Connected bank accounts. Then executed a mobile deposit to transfer money in a few days later and I got instantly locked out of my account. So Sketchy! I had to write into a email address as they don't have live customer service reps and their AI Chat defaults to email their customer support. They ended up closing out my account and refuse to give any reasoning as to why it was deleted. They don't want me creating another account either and wont tell me why. Very sketch company I wont do business with them again.

I am extremely frustrated with my experience using Baselane. After using their platform for managing my finances, my account was suddenly frozen without any warning or notice. When I contacted Baselane to find out what was going on, I learned that my account was closed for “suspicious activity,” with no explanation or details provided. To make matters worse, Baselane informed me that I would have to wait 30-60 days to receive my funds by check. This is a huge financial burden, as I need the money urgently to pay my mortgage. I’m now facing the possibility of foreclosure, and yet I have no access to my funds. Despite reaching out to Baselane and their banking partner, Thread Bank, I have received no clear action plan to expedite the disbursement of my money. I requested alternatives such as a wire transfer or ACH payment, but my requests were ignored or deferred. Instead of offering solutions, I was simply told to forward my emails to Thread Bank, which did not provide any assistance either. This situation is causing me severe financial distress, and the lack of transparency and customer support is beyond frustrating. I feel completely powerless, as my money is being withheld without any reasonable explanation or timeline for release. I would highly advise anyone considering using Baselane for financial services to be cautious. The company’s inability to handle customer accounts responsibly, coupled with its terrible customer service, has caused me unnecessary hardship.

Used their tenant screening background check service. Worst service and information summary I’ve ever received in 20+ years of landlord experience. Poor customer service. Refused to refund cost of unusable, incomplete report. Any landlord who relies on their report is a fool.

An account was open in my name without my knowledge. The only reason I found out, was because I received a check for the balance of funds that was in the account, and when I called to verify with baseline why I received this check, I found somebody else had opened the account. I explained to them that I wanted to transaction history. They did verify some information over the phone with me, and gave me the name of the person of who made an initial deposit, how much and when. They said there were multiple transactions in my name after that, but would not show that information with me. They said they would send me an email never did. I waited a week and called back. The customer service representative, paul, told me that he would have somebody reach out to me that day. Still nothing. Today, I spoke with them on the phone, and again spoke with paul. Doesn't seem like there's a lot of people that work in their customer service department. I have called multiple times before, but never got through. When I spoke with Paul this afternoon, he told me that he couldn't share any information with me. I explained to him that I needed to know more to get to the bottom of everything, and he told me that the only way I could get more information was if I were to get a subpoena. He told me he had to leave, that he did not have time to discuss all and he could not talk to me any longer and then just hung up. This company has horrible customer service. And they absolutely do not take fraud seriously at all. For all I know, they knew about this being a fraudulent account and did not want to deal with it at this point. I am reaching out to the FTC to resolve this issue. I don't see how a company can withhold information from someone who is trying to protect themselves. This hold up may even be creating more damage due to delaying me from seeing who and what is happening with my credit and name. They say the calls are recorded when speaking with them. I would love to hear the call again and would love for the FTC to listen to their business practices.

The banking is a mess and unreliable! I wired money to my account, provided proof it was wired to Thread and my account number, and they are still struggling to find it. I'm dumping them, moving to a real competent bank, and leveraging a different property management software. Found will give you all the same bank reporting for taxes (better even) and everyone has a means for ACH rent payments.
