I’ve worked with Barton Associates and one of their associates several times before, and my previous experiences have always been great. Unfortunately, this assignment was a completely different experience. I accepted an assignment at an Army base, completed all the required paperwork, and received confirmation that I was cleared to go. However, after driving approximately three hours to the assignment, I was not allowed onto the base. I tried multiple times to resolve the issue, but after speaking with the appropriate supervisor, I was told I should not have been there in the first place. The entire situation was chaotic and extremely frustrating. I made the trip in good faith based on the confirmation I received, and now I’m still unclear about compensation and what happens next. I’ve reached out by email but have not received a clear response. Very disappointing experience, especially considering my previous positive experiences with Barton Associates.

So a person from barton associates called me by the name of chandler and we talked about psych np positions and finally agreed upon Fort Defiance due to my experience with multiple native tribes. He stated he sent over resume to present to the tribal affiliates a couple weeks ago, Chandler never followed up, and he never called and told the position was filled and stated that he called and left a few voicemails, which there was not one on my phone. Way to waste my time, especially since I have worked with you guys in the past and to not have the professionalism to call a provider back

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're sorry to hear this was your experience. We understand how frustrating it is when communication falls short, especially when you've invested time in pursuing an opportunity. That's not the experience we want for our locum clinicians. My experience with Barton & Associates was extremely disappointing. What initially appeared to be a professional and supportive organization ultimately became a stressful and frustrating experience. Communication was inconsistent and, at times, unclear. Expectations and obligations were not explained in a transparent manner, which led to confusion and unnecessary complications later on. Instead of working collaboratively to resolve issues, the process felt rigid and transactional. What concerned me most was the lack of flexibility and willingness to address the situation fairly once problems arose. Rather than focusing on a reasonable resolution, the approach felt overly aggressive and impersonal. For a company that works with healthcare professionals, I expected a higher level of professionalism and respect in how situations are handled. Overall, the experience left me feeling that the company prioritizes its own interests over maintaining fair and supportive relationships with the professionals it works with. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering working with Barton & Associates to review their agreements carefully and ensure they fully understand all terms and expectations before committing.

This review does not reflect the full picture of this engagement. From the outset, we worked to communicate expectations clearly and address questions as they came up. When concerns were raised, our team made multiple good-faith efforts to find a reasonable path forward. The central issue, however, was a disagreement over obligations that had already been discussed and agreed upon. While we are always open to resolving challenges collaboratively, we also have a responsibility to apply our processes consistently and fairly across all of our partners. We stand by the professionalism of our team and our commitment to transparent, respectful working relationships.

Many errors in receiving my money. I am actually at the point now where I’ve completed my contract and they’re still outstanding monies that are owed to me. They don’t seem to communicate or they’re just unwilling to pay me even though they’ve been paid by the client.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Ensuring clinicians are paid accurately and on time is extremely important to us, so it’s concerning to hear that there may still be outstanding items related to your contract. We were able to locate you in our system, and a member of our team will be reaching out directly to learn more about the situation and review the details. Payment questions can sometimes involve several moving parts between assignment details, timesheets, and client processing, and we want to make sure nothing has been overlooked. We appreciate the work you did during your assignment and are committed to looking into this further.

This company hired to work a contract in Florida. I show up to work at the clinic on the Monday and the clinic said they never agreed to contract me for that day. The Barton recruiter never called and told me that (apparently the clinic communicated with Barton over the weekend.) The recruiter said they didn't check their email . I drove over an hour to work and asked for my milage and time to be re-imbursed and they said they would but never did! I also had to beg and throw a fit for them to pay me for a whole weeks worth of work I did prior to the scheduling error. Barton claimed the didn't have my information to pay me (ie- direct deposit-bank account.) FYI-There are other locums agencies 100% better. Recruiters can work the weekends that's part of the job that shouldn't be an excuse.
