Ease of job search and applying. Long duration to get an actual offer. Errors in reimbursement that lasted over a month and I had to repeatedly ask for a fix.

There was confusion about compensation. There was a set day rate, but not an hourly rate. Credentialing was tedious and unnecessarily complex, due to reps uncertain about necessary items for my specialty. I found the process to be much smoother with other locum providers.

My only issue working with Barton was with housing. At the time of my contract, they were utilizing an outside agency, Travelers Haven, which contributed to delays and much frustration for me while trying to resolve housing issues.

I had trouble and continue to have trouble entering C.M.E. for an application to a Florida license renewal. An associate did make an initial effort but lost desire to complete the task. Currently, I have no renewal, no contact with the associate and Florida doesn't have a number where you can speak to a real human. RNH

I worked for Barton for 9 months, 2 weeks every month. In the final month, when the client hospital had hired 3 new physicians, they canceled my final week. Barton did nothing to attempt to hold the client to their contract and I was left with a plane ticket and no work. Read your contract carefully. Barton can cancel your work without any notice and no penalty. If the client cancels, they owe BARTON money but not the physician.

I have worked with Barton on two occasions. My first job, they did not pay me, they claimed the job did not pay them. They are a company and should first pay me as their client who did the work. They barely apologized for this as a large business. They continued to call me often for future jobs. Why would I want to work for someone who may not pay me? My second job with them was fine. They have contacted me a few times since. They do a poor job of following up or closing the loop of possible jobs. Overall I do not recommend working with this locums company.
