The shoes I received are materially misrepresented. They look nothing like the product shown on the website in color, shape, and overall construction. In addition, they arrived with a strong chemical odor, rendering them unwearable and defective.. Selling an item that is not as described and arrives in a defective condition violates basic consumer protection standards.

this is a complete scam. My shoes came looking ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like the picture advertised cheap! My order were shoes that had glue all over the outside and I immediately wrote the "company." I have sent 6 emails, and numerous calls to an automated number that gives all the same promises of how important my needs are and they are so happy to help - Yet, here we are 6 weeks later, and no help. They have ripped me off!!!!! ZERO stars and BIG RED FLAG FOR SCAMMMMMMMMMM!

Company a joke. I finally got a response regarding return process and they give you two options - one, pay return cost to China, or two, get a $75 credit w them and keep item as if I ever want to do business w them again!! Shoes were cheap and fit poorly.

DO NOT ORDER FROM BAREROOTS. They are a Chinese scam company. Shipped the wrong item (and in very poor quality) then would not cover return shipping, despite their return policy stating they cover it if the error is their fault. Then when I followed up, I got a email sender error. Phone calls to the company point you to the same now-disconnected email. Total scam.

Do not waste your money. It is all a scam. The shoes are trash and the sizes are junk. You can never return the items and you will never see your money again. I was communicating with customer service to get the details of my return in order. However, today I went to send them an email and it keeps bouncing back as undeliverable. This is a SCAM! Don’t be a fool. Save your money and buy local!

Like many people, the shoes didn't match the picture in significant ways (the boot was too short, had the wrong colored stitching, and had the wrong color inner fur). Email them about it. They responded: "As per our supplier, the item you received matches the product that was ordered." I asked what options I have, cause if the ones I'm seeing on the website don't exist, then there's a scam going on. They(Charlotte after Hannah replied) asked me to send pictures(which I already uploaded when I created the ticket). I sent the pictures and of course my email got bounced back. I tried a different email(used Outlook and Gmail), and both bounced. I called their phone number, and it rang and rang until it hung up. After i called 3 times it started going straight to voicemail claiming they are unable to take my call but confirmed it is Bareroot's number. My next call was to Chase to report fraud for this transaction. Please, please, please if you used a credit card or a decent bank, argue with them, report the fraud.

If there was something like a negative rating, that is what I would give this scam business. Worst experience. Poor quality shoes, come broken and I have two pairs in the same size and they are completely inconsistent! Once is like a 10.5 and other is 9( both EU 40). Despite all my efforts, no luck in getting a credit, refund or exchange!!! Need to report this business. How are they allowed to make the claims and no way to reach them. They have now blocked me. So all my emails are undeliverable!!

This site is a SCAM. I was sent the wrong product, then ghosted. The customer service email doesn't exist, and the phone goes to a general voicemail that no one monitors. They will take your money and send you some crap, then ignore you. Do not buy from this vendor.
