It was just ok. Chef arrived on time, set up quickly & was very nice. First 15 mins of dinner was fun & entertaining but that was the only engagement. After that he cooked & served our food (which was good). The dinner only lasted 40 minutes for 10 people. When I booked they slot you 1.5 hours so I assumed the dinner would be close to an hour. The chef cleaned up quickly. I just don’t think the overall experience was worth the $650. I did reach out & ask how long the dinner usually last but they never responded to me

We enjoyed our Awesome Habatchi experience. We had a group of 21 people (11 of those children ages 4 to 14). The food was prepared well. Rice, noodles and protien were good portions. Salad was cold but nothing special, dressing lacked taste. Our chef was nice but was not overly social with the group. Seemed shy and then focused on cooking the food. We would have liked a little more engagement and fun, especially for the children. He squirted sake with a squirter gun, and water from a baby bottle. He made a comment to our grandmother about "a sexy mouth" that was awkward. Having a chef come to the house we expected higher quality engagement and fun. The fire and cooking was difficult to see from a seated position. The company online was not overly transparent. We did not recieve the real price for the event until the food was ordered. $75 travel fee was never explained- We are still unsure what a "medium distance" is for the Phoenix/Tempe area means. A $35 credit card processing fee was also added. The $50 for an adult meal, is not actually $50, there is tax, travel fee and credit card fees (then tip, as expected) This should be explained upfront. The order process was fine and user friendly. Should have been able to give a full price in the document before submitting. Payment was an easy enough process once the fees were sorted. I am not sure we will use Awesome Habatchi in the future, more because of the chef's interactions than the lack of price transparency. We will likely try another company in the future.

There wasn’t much entertainment. The chef just went around with squirt gun. I didn’t see any entertainment with the food or other activities. On top of it the chef left old food in a trash can inside the garage without letting me know. The next day my garage had a horrible smell the garbage can was with magnets. Overall I wasn’t really please the only thing I say is the person who help me organize this was super helpful and I thank you just for the that.

The chef was very nice and entertaining and the food was good. We didnt feel he brought enough rice and noodles for the 9 guests we had. The portions were very small and not distributed evenly to each guest. Usually hibachi your plates are overflowing and full.Everyone finished their food and 2 people made a comment they were still hungry. We were also charged an $80 travel fee and learned the chef lived near by. The chef also told us the tip was automatically added onto the bill and he calculated it with the travel fee in it. All in all good experience but definitely light on the food for the price per person. We also felt a little rushed for a 5pm party.
