Our chef made demeaning sexual jokes, force fed someone in the group after she said no multiple times, and joked about hitting his wife. Everyone was extremely uncomfortable as you can imagine. We paid for a 2 hour experience that he rushed into 90 minutes. He then texted me afterwards saying I shorted him on his tip (I gave him 15% after the most awful experience) and said he was waiting outside for the rest. To top it all off, I sent the company multiple emails about this right afterwards to ask what they’d do to fix it and they never responded. Horrible experience and really disappointed that the company ignored me when they could’ve made up for it.

Disappointing Experience
We were very disappointed with our experience. Our chef never introduced himself, didn’t speak any English, and seemed disengaged throughout the meal. Because of the language barrier, there was almost no interaction with our group, which is a big part of what we were looking forward to. Even the usual hibachi-style elements, like the onion “choo‑choo train,” didn’t work.
The food was also inconsistent. The meat was overcooked and dry, though the vegetables and rice were good. The “salad” was just iceberg lettuce with dressing, which felt underwhelming. After seeing videos of other chefs who were fun and interactive, this was a letdown. I will likely try a different service next time.

LOOK ELSEWHERE! Terrible
We booked awesome hibachi for my husband‘s birthday and to much planning and preparation we had a TERRIBLE experience. We had everything set up to have a wonderful event however, awesome hibachi had other plans. The night was completely ruined and a terrible experience. The chef was late (about 25 min after the start time) and upon arriving and getting set up, proceeded to clean the griddle right in front of us. After we got started, salad was pulled out of a Ziploc bag that was drenched in water and no dressing was provided. When we asked the “chef” asked where the dressing was, he offered Yum Yum sauce and he opened the messy bottle and just sat on the table for us to pour ourselves. Upon continuing the dinner, the chef tried to play games and was very frantic and unorganized. The Sake in the water gun was messy and got everyone wet. While serving the dinner, the chef was very messy and seemed very confused. At the end of the dinner, the chef asked for his tip in front of all of our guests and even though I didn’t want to tip, because of this terrible experience, I provided $100. I called awesome hibachi’s customer service and spoke to someone who listened to my issues and said that they were surprised to hear about this experience. They asked for the opportunity to investigate and get back to me. I finally heard back , “After checking with our kitchen team, I can confirm that certain details you mentioned, such as the use of ziplock bags for salad, are part of our current standard protocol. That said, I completely understand how this may not have aligned with what you were hoping for, and I truly apologize for any disappointment caused.” also, “As a gesture of goodwill, we'd like to offer you a $60 credit toward any future event with us, whether it's for you, your friends, or family. This credit is a bit different from what you see publicly on our site with headcount and day restrictions, this can be applied without any headcount restrictions or day restrictions as long as our party minimum is met.” I stated that this was not acceptable and requested a refund that I felt was equal to the quality of the service and food that was provided based on all the issues we experience. This request was denied and sorry was provided. DO
NOT USE AWESOME HIBACHI. Look elsewhere!

AWFUL experience, not entertaining whatsoever
The experience we had with Awesome Hibachi was FAR from awesome. It was actually pretty awful. I have had many hibachi experiences and the chefs are entertaining, social and fun. Our chef barely spoke a word to us unless he was squirting saki in our mouths, he was not entertaining at all and barely engaged with our group. It felt like he was running down a checklist of things he needed to do to entertain instead of trying to be actively engaging.
I filled out my guest's orders which was easy online but I wasnt told until the chef had arrived that they did not have salmon. I felt as though this should have been discussed previously.
Lastly, for how much money I am paying for the experience, I could have AT THE LEAST been asked how I liked my steak cook. This happens at every other hibachi location, I was very disappointed that we were all cooked our meat the exact same especially since I paid more for a filet.
This experience was for my 30th birthday, and I was very much looking forward to it. The only reason I can even give it a 1 star is that the food was halfway decent, besides the point that we weren't asked how we liked our steaks cooked. I would never recommend this company moving forward.
Update:
To add to my experience, it has been almost a month now and I have reached out to the company with no response.
