I have a 2011 WRX. I took the time to give her wax before applying the Avalonking Coating. It’s been about two weeks since I applied, my car is dirty covered in dust.

Hello Drew! Thank you for the feedback here on Trustpilot. I would like to start of by saying I am terribly sorry that you have a bad experience with our ceramic coating! If you waxed the car and then applied a ceramic coating that is likely the result one would get! The two products are not compatible Drew. The vehicle must be fully prepped and all wax and sealants should be removed prior to applying a ceramic coating. Here are the optimal prep steps to take on a vehicle prior to applying a ceramic coating: 1 Wash the Vehicle Thoroughly Start with a deep clean to remove dirt, grime, and loose contaminants. Use a pH-neutral car shampoo and a two-bucket wash method (one for soapy water, one for rinsing) with a microfiber mitt to minimize scratches. Rinse thoroughly to ensure no soap residue remains. 2 Decontaminate the Surface After washing, remove embedded contaminants like tar, tree sap, or industrial fallout. Iron Fallout Remover: Spray an iron remover on the paint and wheels to dissolve brake dust or metal particles. Let it dwell, then rinse off. 3 Clay Bar or Mitt: Use a clay bar with a lubricant (like a quick detailer) to gently glide over the paint, picking up any remaining bonded contaminants. This ensures a smooth surface. 4 Polish the Paint (If Needed) Inspect the paint for swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation. If imperfections are present, use a dual-action polisher with an appropriate polish and pad combo (e.g., light cutting pad for minor defects, finishing pad for a final pass). This step enhances gloss and ensures the coating bonds to a flawless surface. Wipe off polish residue with a microfiber towel. 5 Clean with a Panel Prep Solution Remove any oils, waxes, or leftover polishing compounds that could interfere with the ceramic coating’s adhesion. Use an isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution (typically 70% IPA diluted with water) or a dedicated panel wipe product. Spray it on and wipe with a clean microfiber towel until the surface feels squeaky clean. 6 Dry the Surface Completely Ensure no water spots or moisture remain, as they can trap under the coating. Use a clean microfiber towel or a blower to dry the vehicle entirely. Work in a controlled environment (like a garage) to avoid dust or water contamination. Work in a Clean, Controlled Environment Apply the coating in a well-ventilated, dust-free area with stable temperature (ideally 50-75°F or 10-24°C). Avoid direct sunlight or high humidity, which can cause the coating to flash too quickly or cure unevenly. I hope this helps Drew! Feel free to reach out to [email protected] if you'd more further assistance with your ceramic coating and or prep/maintenance needs.

I don't know what it is exactly, but Armor shield ix from avalonking is some stellar, um stuff. seen other people saying it makes the paint deep, water beading and whatnot there, was I skeptical yeah but tried and have to agree now, will all of em. I'm old, getting closer to 80 now, so it was an effort for me to be perfectly frank, I just always kept my cars clean, showroom shine typoe of a deal, started way back 1969 when I got my first car, it was an MG, turned a lot of heads back in the day. You have to do the prep, will be easier on you younger guys anyhow, whole shebang. Do in sections as well. But Im a happy camper with this, shine is spectacular in a sense and washing gets easier so you put in some work sure but later you spend less time, and trust me, time is so valuable. Support loves chatting about cars, classics especially, Dale from Avalon is almost a buddy at this point how much we exchanged over the times.

Lot of UV faded vinyl on my daily driver. After the first application it made a major change in the looks of it. Money well spent I think with the coating kit from avalonking.

Hello Gabriele! Thank you for the wonderful feedback! It looks like you purchased our Armor Shield IX over our Valentine's Sale! Great sale yeah? Armor Shield IX is fantastic for adding shine to dulled surfaces due to UV fade.

I’ve tried all 3 of their coatings and believe they are now suffering fromn some serious quality control issues. The Armor Shield IV was great a few years ago so I recently decided to try their MAX and GOAT. I am not impressed with either product and find them lacking in quality. Trying to communicate with the CO is difficult and they shut down at any hint their may be an issue with the product. Also, I suggest reading the AK Terms and Conditions before making a purchase, it’s very enlightening.

I've been using AvalonKing products for a while, most recently coated my car with Armor Shield MAX and topped with Psycho PRO. Dale from customer service was incredibly helpful around stuff I wasn't sure about with the process and the end result which is holding up to 100% performance now after almost a year is just amazing. Psycho PRO is making the surface super slick and ultra hydrophobic and MAX underneath is providing really superb depth to the color alongside the coating protection.
