not good over wax!!!
I have a 2011 WRX. I took the time to give her wax before applying the Avalonking Coating. It’s been about two weeks since I applied, my car is dirty covered in dust.

Hello Drew! Thank you for the feedback here on Trustpilot. I would like to start of by saying I am terribly sorry that you have a bad experience with our ceramic coating! If you waxed the car and then applied a ceramic coating that is likely the result one would get! The two products are not compatible Drew. The vehicle must be fully prepped and all wax and sealants should be removed prior to applying a ceramic coating. Here are the optimal prep steps to take on a vehicle prior to applying a ceramic coating: 1 Wash the Vehicle Thoroughly Start with a deep clean to remove dirt, grime, and loose contaminants. Use a pH-neutral car shampoo and a two-bucket wash method (one for soapy water, one for rinsing) with a microfiber mitt to minimize scratches. Rinse thoroughly to ensure no soap residue remains. 2 Decontaminate the Surface After washing, remove embedded contaminants like tar, tree sap, or industrial fallout. Iron Fallout Remover: Spray an iron remover on the paint and wheels to dissolve brake dust or metal particles. Let it dwell, then rinse off. 3 Clay Bar or Mitt: Use a clay bar with a lubricant (like a quick detailer) to gently glide over the paint, picking up any remaining bonded contaminants. This ensures a smooth surface. 4 Polish the Paint (If Needed) Inspect the paint for swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation. If imperfections are present, use a dual-action polisher with an appropriate polish and pad combo (e.g., light cutting pad for minor defects, finishing pad for a final pass). This step enhances gloss and ensures the coating bonds to a flawless surface. Wipe off polish residue with a microfiber towel. 5 Clean with a Panel Prep Solution Remove any oils, waxes, or leftover polishing compounds that could interfere with the ceramic coating’s adhesion. Use an isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution (typically 70% IPA diluted with water) or a dedicated panel wipe product. Spray it on and wipe with a clean microfiber towel until the surface feels squeaky clean. 6 Dry the Surface Completely Ensure no water spots or moisture remain, as they can trap under the coating. Use a clean microfiber towel or a blower to dry the vehicle entirely. Work in a controlled environment (like a garage) to avoid dust or water contamination. Work in a Clean, Controlled Environment Apply the coating in a well-ventilated, dust-free area with stable temperature (ideally 50-75°F or 10-24°C). Avoid direct sunlight or high humidity, which can cause the coating to flash too quickly or cure unevenly. I hope this helps Drew!
