2 years ago I was talked into buying brake pads that was supposed to have a life time warranty. Well just the other day I noticed the break pads were almost down to the rotors . I called the local auto zone to obtain the warranty. The sales man informed me that the life time warranty is if the brake pads break. Not normal wear and tear. Who ever heard of brake pads breaking ! They only break if there pretty much worn out ! I told the sales man that the warranty they sell you is very misleading . His answer was watever! I will never by anything from auto zone again. I took my business to there competitor which doesn’t miss lead there customers

Visited an Autozone store in Paradise…
Visited an Autozone store in Paradise Hills area more than a week ago and want to share my bad experience. I came to the store for them to check my car battery which always discharges power and found out I need a new one. As nobody seemed to help I just borrowed some tools and took out the battery myself and brought it inside the store for replacement. Because my hands got a little bit dirty I grabbed a sanitizer and paper towel I saw on the counter but a storeclerk rudely told me that they are for their exclusive use only. Is that the right way they treat their customers while every kind of stores are providing free sanitizers to customers while shopping.

While purchasing repair parts for my…
While purchasing repair parts for my car, the counter guy told me my car required expensive iridium plugs and then slipped extra items into my bag and charged me without telling me. When confronted, he told me he was tired of car owners telling him they knew more than he did about fixing cars and he assumed I would need the items when repairing my car. So much for the customer always being right.

Battery replacement caused PERMANENT damage to my car engine
Going to the Livermore, CA Autozone late EVENING to get my battery replaced resulted in a broken coolant hose that led to overheating of my engine, resulting in permanent engine damage the NEXT MORNING which would cost me $4500+ to replace. This 2009 Toyota corolla could have last me another 5-8 years easily, but it was completely damaged.
I called Autozone, and Shailini, the store manager, nicely asked me to file a claim with all the evidence/receipts/photos/diagnosis and quote by mechanic. She asked me to email her supervisor, John Correia.
He never responded to my email, but eventually called me on the phone to rudely/unhelpfully say that they denied my claim because my car should have given me a warning about the overheating so that I should have known to stop driving it.
He did not deny that they/Autozone broke the coolant hose, yet took no responsibility whatsoever. So, each time Autozone breaks something in your car, they rely on Toyota or the manufacturer to give you warnings while taking no responsibility for the unnecessary damage they caused.
Even though I think this argument is weak and completely flawed, I asked them to at least compensate me for the $375 I had to pay for getting my car towed from the highway when it broke down. He declined.
I have had terrible experiences in the past with Autozone, and will never go to any Autozone again. They provide terrible service as well as illogical/absurd explanations despite all evidence/documentation.
(P.S. In the first place, I had to replace the battery because a San Jose, CA Autozone put in a completely incorrect battery/wrong size, which led to my car not starting after a year or so, which also required me to get a tow.)

Online order for a 12 volt extension cord
Placed online order for a 12 volt ext. cord. Website referenced free next day shipping - this was not an option at checkout. Received email order was ready for pickup - This store was closed due to Covid 19! How did I receive an email from a closed store? Called Customer Non-Service - was told store manager would call me back - didn't happen - pathetic. Called again. Was told the store would be open the next day at 1:00 pm - didn't happen - pathetic. Called a different location from the closed store and spoke with a rude person who said the store was open - pathetic. I've now spent more time and gas money than the item was worth - pathetic. Am now trying to get a refund but not holding my breath. How does a place that operates like this stay in business? Will never shop there again. Forget the 1 star- I would give it a negative 10 stars if I could.

Crappy AutoZone on bellfort near…
Went the AutoZone on bellfort near gessner. Go the wrong piece, paid cash, went back, they said without a receipt I could only get a store credit to spend at the same stupid store that screw up my part in the first place. Autozone, if people pay you in cash, refund them in cash, they need. And to your obnoxious, petty and rude store manager, after living near and going to that Autozone for decades. You suck and I will never go into a AUTOZONE again. Thanks Oreillys, and Advanced auto, for hiring competant, caring and knowledgeable people to work at your places. F#$K AUTOZONE

wouldn’t recommend
I recently went to AutoZone 4 months ago for a new alternator for a Hyundai Elantra SE 2015. i gave the manager there all my information and he even installed it for me, here i am 4 months later with a burned out alternator making a very loud noise and smells of rubber. I go back to autozone to buy a replacement and all they have is refurbished once again i give them my car model and they gave me a 90 amp. I installed in my car that day and immediately it’s burned of rubber and makes a loud sound and my battery shuts off. I return to the autozone i purchased it from and the manager told me my battery was on 0% bc of the wrong alternator and that the new smell coming from the car was engine fluid and that i also didn’t have anti-freeze which was full. (which i new was wrong) so i go to another autozone to find out that they sold me a koran model when i told them i need a US model. 5 auto zones later and not a single one carries a US model alternator all only carry koran. i place an order for one as was told it would be delivered in 3 days i go to pick it up and they told “oh well the order never went through” mean while they never called to contact me to replace the order or tried mean while i am a member with my number on file. i places an order again and once again they ordered the wrong model and it’s another koran. so 2 weeks later and i still have no alternator and waiting for the correct one to be installed i do not recommend going to the following locations: all in Philadelphia PA- 2101 W oregon Ave 19145 - 2726 Front St 19148 - 1730 Washington Ave 19146 - 2448 N broad St 19132.
