These people are terrible. I brought in my old battery that was purchased from them to get a new one. The receipt clearly says 5 year warranty. There is 8 1/2 months left on the warranty, but they claim the warranty is over.I bought the battery on 02/26/2018. According to anyone that knows simple addition would know that 60 months from that date would be 02/26/2023. They simply refused to prorate the 8 1/2 months on the warranty. Needless to say that they had a bad attitude. I will never buy anything from these people again, very poor customer skills & need to learn simple math skills. I will also be calling their corporate office to complain. I will also contact the B.B.B. & consumer Affairs.

I bought two Nutech by ATK remanufactured cylinder heads from Autozone.com to make rebuilding the top end of my truck easier. I replaced every part gasket and seal under the hood except for the block. When I finally got everything done and started my truck up all of my oil puked out onto my driveway from the belly. I was sure I either blew the main seal or I didn't put the valve cover gaskets on right, so I replaced the rear main seal and replaced the valve cover gaskets and grommets again. When I started my truck the second time it did the same thing and puked out all the oil. I then removed the transmission dipstick and I was able to fit my phone in far enough to take a picture of the back of the passenger side head to see what was going on. There is a place in the back of the head that is supposed to have an oil galley plug when comparing it to the pictures provided on Autozone's website. The front side of the head is the reverse of the backside and in this same location there is not supposed to be an oil galley plug so I'm thinking now whoever built the heads they sent me built them backwards. I also had to buy a 30-dollar tool to put a lifter back on the other side's head. I first tried to contact Autozone by chat and their expert gave me a 1800 number for an alarm company. My wife found out how to contact the manufacturer and filled out a form on their website. I got an email stating that I needed to give them the serial number and gave me an 1800 number to call. I called that number and it was just a loop that continued for over 30 minutes. I then emailed the Nutech company with my purchase order number stating what was going on and asked where would the serial number be located at. I also sent them a picture where the oil galley plug was missing. I have since then not heard a word. I'm obviously going to have to buy new heads and gaskets again to do this entire project all over again. I have no faith in what they sent me. They claim to give a 1-year warranty on these heads but that's just not true. Autozone's products are great if you are into yard ornaments and having a spittin mad wife. It's a sad state of affairs when a company makes the customer responsible for their quality control issues.

This review is not about the stores it's about the corporation they used to have good Auto parts I don't know what happened to AutoZone but if you like doing a job more than once to fix something then continue going to AutoZone because their parts have become nothing but junk

I have bought my last item from Autozone after being a loyal customer for more than 20 years. About one year ago I bought some items in anticipation of rebuilding the motor in my F-150 pickup. Things changed and it never happened. The items I bought are still in new condition. They were never used anywhere. They even still have the original stock numbers attached to them. When I called to inquire about how to return them the person that I spoke with said that it had to be within 90 days. This is not stated in writing anywhere on their website that I can find. It sounded arbitrary. I tried to tell them that I would be glad to accept store credit since I am normally in one of their stores on a regular basis. When I asked to speak to a supervisor. He hung up on me. But,I will never visit any of theirs stores again now that I know what the policy is toward customers.

I never thought I'd ever say this about AutoZone...they need to go out of business. (Along with every other company that isn't for the American working men and women). They are no longer the company they once were. I went to get prices on front suspension parts for my car and I could not believe my ears when they started telling me prices. When I got to the third part, I jokingly said geez...this part is probably $1,000... Lol. The guy pulled it up on his screen and the woman who was there as well looked at the screen and said OH MY GOD... then the GUY said uh, yea... I said what?? They both said you don't wanna know... I said ok...I'm done, thanks for your time. They both kinda just...laughed. (SMH...) When will this ripping off the American people by American companies stop?? This country will die as we know it. It's already circling the drain. The prices of things that keep us all running and alive all need to get back down to acceptable levels. R.I.P. America.

I'd give them ZERO stars if the choice was available. I closed my automotive shop 5 years ago. I seldom used AutoZone when I was operating my shop, but had an account there. Around a year after I closed, I got a statement from them, they'd charged somebody else's purchases to my account. When I told them, it was removed without too much hassle, and I told them in no uncertain terms to close my account. Three months ago, I get another statement from them for over $1000, again, somebody else's purchases charged to my account, which had never been closed as requested. I've been fighting them for three months this time. From the local store (Great Falls, MT), to the regional supervisor, to corporate, they are the most clueless and incompetent bunch I've ever dealt with, and I've been self employed for over 40 years. They actually told me if I'd bring the parts back, they'd credit them!! I NEVER GOT THE PARTS!!! THEY CHARGED SOMEONE ELSE'S PARTS TO MY ACCOUNT!! This month, they claim they tried to contact me, which is a lie. The phone number they have is line two in my current business, and this phone is manned from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm. DON'T OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THESE THIEVES!! The other national chains have much better service and inventory anyway, so there is never a reason to need AutoZone.

I have repeatedly had problems with the WOBURN MASSACHUSETTS store manager who has always given me a hard time each and every time I need to do a return. But this last time went WAY out of control and overboard. He literally threw me out of the store and threatened to call the police if I ever returned and told his employees to do the same. When I complained about this most hostile, unjustified and reprehensible conduct by that rotten manager toward me, the upper management took over a week to respond to my complaint and then quickly transferred the case to an "INTERNAL MATTER" in order to deliberately HIDE the offenses committed against me by this store manager. Ultimately the upper management provided me with absolutely NO SATISFACTION, kept this manager in their employ, to my shock and surprise, and never made any effort whatsoever to correct the problem in any way, shape or form that was ever conveyed to me. It clearly explains why AutoZone has among the WORST RATINGS on the internet. I will NEVER, EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING IN ANY AUTOZONE STORE EVER AGAIN, EVER! And I would recommend to anyone else reading this review to do the same. They deserve to be put out of business for the way they mistreat and ABUSE CUSTOMERS. I noted through my research, that many other customers have had similar BAD EXPERIENCES at many AutoZone Stores which explains why they quickly hide these complaints under the rug and call them "Internal" matters. What a JOKE! Tip for consumers: NEVER, EVER SUPPORT OR PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ANY AUTOZONE ANYWHERE THEY MAY EXIST. This store needs to be put OUT OF BUSINESS for their outright contempt and disrespect for their paying customers. Products used: I did not need the products I purchased, which is why I tried to return them with my receipt in hand and the store manager not only refused to accept my return, only one day after I purchased them, but viscously threw me out of the store and threatened never to allow me back in or he would call the police. All this for a simple product return request. This is a very sick Store Manager, indeed!!!

Had a horrible trip to the Enid Oklahoma store this am. Went to pick up a part that I had ordered and paid for over the phone. Was at store at 9am as instructed to get part. The assistant manager, Mr. Dodson then got an attitude and refused to check in my part so I could have it. Finally another employee took the part from Mr Dodson to get me checked out. All told I was in the store for an hour to make a simple pick up. I am glad there are other auto parts .stores in Enid with way better customer service. I do not recommend the Enid Autozone store to anyone
