It was Freezing & They Knew About the Rodents
I wasn't able to get a good nights sleep at all until I took it upon myself to find another place to sleep the last night. One of the rooms was freezing cold and had rodents running around all night. When I reported it, the guide chuckled and told me I must have gotten the room with the animals living in the bathroom. There were flies and worms in the room also. When I asked for an alternate activity after 4 nights of no sleep, I was told there was no alternative. Yet in the morning, one of the other guests told me she was offered an alternate activity, so I went with her. I don't understand why her request was honored but mine wasn't. One guide kept talking about how glad she was that the season was almost over. It was obvious that she didn't want to be there. She gave no eye contact and had very little to say the entire trip. It was the worst vacation I've ever had. It was not cheap. Oh, did I mention that for my inconvenience I was offered $100 off my next trip with Austin Adventures? Ha, ha! The first two trips I took were really good, but the quality of my vacation experience this time was terrible. It's sad to see the drastic decline in quality.
