Austin Adventures Alaskan Trip – A Trip of a Lifetime ★★★★★ My husband and I just got back from Austin Adventures' Alaskan trip and we’re still in awe. It truly was a trip of a lifetime. Guides: Huge shoutout to Josiah, Leah, and David — they made the whole experience. All three were incredibly knowledgeable about Alaskan wildlife, geology, and local history, professional in every detail from timing to safety, and genuinely entertaining. Their stories and humor kept us laughing even on the rainy days. Accommodations & Food: We were really pleased with both. The lodges were comfortable and had stunning views, and the food was far better than we expected for a tour — fresh salmon, hearty breakfasts, and great coffee every morning. You can tell Austin Adventures picks quality partners. The Highlight: Without question, the flightseeing tour over Denali. Soaring around North America’s tallest peak was breathtaking, and actually landing on a glacier was surreal. Standing on ancient ice with nothing but mountains around you is something we’ll never forget. Something for Everyone: One thing we especially appreciated was the flexibility. Not everyone in our group was up for strenuous trekking, and Austin Adventures had shorter hike options that were still beautiful and rewarding. It meant no one felt left out, and we could all enjoy Alaska at our own pace. From start to finish, this trip hit every mark — epic scenery, great people, and seamless logistics. I have always wanted to go to the Canadian Rockies, so when I saw Austin Adventures offered this tour, I knew this was the year and this was the trip. And in every single way, Austin Adventures made this truly the trip of a lifetime for me. From our truly outstanding Austin Adventure guides Jess and Mieka, to the accommodations, meals, transportation and itinerary, it was an incredible experience. There are not enough words to properly describe the beauty of these mountains. This whole region is breathtaking. Our incredible guides Jess and Mieka made every single moment a delight, with their boundless energy, good humor, endless knowledge of the region and environment, and adaptability to every circumstance. We felt safe and cared for at every moment, especially with all the surprise snacks! The people I met in my group were also part of what made this such a great experience. Such good, kind and interesting souls who made the journey more enriching and memorable. We had such a fun time together while engaged in a variety of outdoor activities and while partaking of incredibly delicious meals. I can’t recommend strongly enough this trip with Austin Adventures. Yellowstone and Grand Teton awesomeness:) The guides ...Daniel and Bryce.. were fantastic! We really won the lottery with those two. They were knowledgable, personable, attentive and just plain fun to be around. The beautiful locations and fun activities were great and the entire trip was executed to perfection. Austin adventures made our Yellowstone reservations with solid vendors for excursions & comfortable hotels & tasty restaurants! Our guides Ethan & Melissa were enthusiastic & fun! When the snow appeared in July, hot chocolate was delivered to us hikers on the trail! Delicious lunches/dinners prepared on site for us — for a camp like experience too!

Despite the wide variance of weather (a June snowstorm was not on my bingo card), it was an AMAZING venture. Well-planned and coordinated, with enough flexibility to accommodate individuals in the group while still keeping the trip structure intact and on schedule. Melissa and Ethan were AWESOME guides - personable, knowledgeable, and downright FUN. It was a trip that created great memories that will last a lifetime.

Our guides were amazing! While the activities were perfectly planned, what stood out was the way our guides went out of their way to make the experience special. They accommodated people who weren’t as fast as the rest and kept a watchful eye on how the group was handling the activity. Midday meals were always a treat.

The 5 parks are Awe inspiring, but the guides made the trip smooth, fun and enjoyable. Very well planned and executed. Steve and Steve had something for everyone which is difficult with so much age and ability differences. Nobody was left out. They provided silver tray service at the most unexpected places. They made sure everything ran smooth and there were no mishaps! I want to take all my trips with Steve Squared!!!!
