I will say the service, overall was good, except the person signing me up originally could have stopped the problems before they started with one simple question. If he asked me if I already had a phone line, it would have preempted my entire issue. Anyway, the installer and the service person on the phone got me worked out. I had internet previously at a former address which was cable based and did not realize I needed a phone line for internet service in this new location. I haven't had a home phone in decades.

The customer service representative that sold me my package was great. However, he gave me a time that they were supposed to come set things up, but they changed it to the next day which was a complete inconvenience since I had made plans to be home for the day they gave me. I called and told them my situation and they basically told me take it or push it to another day. The first day they gave me was just a "guess" of the soonest time they could get to my area. Then it was supposed to take 2 hours to set up the system, but it literally took them 9 hours to completely fix my system, which also was a complete inconvenience since they told me it would only take two hours, so make sure you have multiple days free before you buy the package. However the 6GB package I have is GREAT for streaming Netflix and other networks.

I am a new customer in a new city. I called to sign up for a landline compatible with a security system that does not use digital. Also signed up for uverse internet access. The first agent took nearly 45 minutes completing the auto-did not speak English well. He put me on hold for more than 25 minutes. I finally hung up and called again. A second agent confirmed the order. I was told about all the "specials" and free installation with my order. two days later the security company came to install and said the phone was not set up for it. I made a third call, again waiting on hold for an agent, who finally told me I had to have two accounts-one landline, one internet. After nearly a week, the security was installed. Yesterday I received a $200 bill for all the confusion, wait time, and lack of professionalism with your agents. I'm finally happy with the interent and phone service but overall the process was very frustrating, lacked professionalism and too more than 5 hours phone time to do business with you. I am not happy about that! Nor am I happy about the charges for installation when I was told by the third agent that all charges would be waived due to the confusion and problems.

I ordered new service and they had me set up with my appt in 3 days time. This was a great turnaround time to me. When the tech came out to install it he said the fiber was cut somewhere so another team had to come out and repair it. Then he said I would be contacted with a new appt time to install it. There was no word on the repair date but I saw 2 at&t vans for 2 days in a row so I thought they were repairing it. A couple of days later I got an e-mail saying my new appt was 20 days down the road. I called up right away because there was no way I was going to wait that long. (I would have went with Cox if I did have to wait that long but I didn't say that when talking to customer service.) Customer service was helpful by calling my local install center and got me with an install date for 2 days later. I was wondering why they didn't check with them to begin with. Anyway the tech came out and installed everything and it is great so far. After it was installed on 2 separate days repair men came to the house to fix my line and to bury the new line. I wasn't sure what they were talking about because I already had service so it didn't seem like communication was flowing from place to place. All in all, it was worth it and I am enjoying my service.

If it were not for the monopoly in my area I would never go with ATT. For one there is an internet company 2 streets down that would be able to get me the same internet speed for 19.99 a month with no term. Plus I don't have the hassle of having to try every 6 to 12 months to get a decent internet rate that I can afford. If only there was not monopoly of ATT in my area I could get that companies great rate at a great price. ATT just keeps raising its price for the same speed. If you don't have a monopoly in your area go elsewhere.

Overall the internet and home phone service works great however, dealing with satellite companies has its downfalls. My install date was rescheduled two days later w/o me being informed of this and caused quite the inconvenience. Once this was squared away I've had no further issues and would recommend AT&T to anyone.

I recently changed companies to AT & T! I was Promised several perks but when I changed those promises was not kept! ( maybe human error) not sure! One of the promises was to port my number over it took me speaking to over 10 specialists before I finally got my bill Resolved! I got Grace she was courteous like The others but she listened like she was a customer and resolved my issue right away! I was very appreciative & thankful! We're not perfect but we can fix our mistakes, not place blame and make the customer unhappy! Please AT& t learn from Grace! It would've saved me a lot of time & headache!
