After nearly a year of care, multiple injections and spending literally thousands of dollars, I have the same back issue. Kristian is a NP, not an MD and I don't believe I received quality care from him or the Core Institute. Their system is similar to a factory where you spend many hours waiting for an appointment, then paying in advance for your deductible, then being upsold on other procedures like a cheap restaurant. Each time I arrived for an appointment, I was being sold vein treatment services - I have no vein issues. Communication is incredibly disappointing, in the nearly one year I was being treated I made two inquiries on their portal - their preferred way of communicating. Kristian didn't respond to the first one for two months and never responded to the second. I do not recommend Kristian, nor the Core Institute.

"As a private practice, we rely on athenahealth for billing accuracy and timely support. Unfortunately, the CSC team has become a major bottleneck. Communication is poor, and we have experienced alarming instances where support cases from other practices were mixed with ours, raising serious privacy concerns. Furthermore, our own cases are frequently lost or left unresolved for weeks. This lack of accountability is directly affecting our billing cycle and cash flow. We are spending more time chasing athenahealth support than managing our practice. Extremely disappointed in the current state of their customer service."

I lost thousands of dollars with this EMR company. They put claims on hold that should not be on hold. When my billers try to push claims to the payors Athena would put the claim back on hold based on criteria from Athena not from the payor. Their customer support has deriorated with time becoming more and more inaccessible. I would give them a 3 for the other functions (appointment reminders, patient portal ...) But at the end of the day if the practice does not make any money what difference does it make if you have a nice note or good patient portal with no money to show for it!?!?!?
