They promised a gift card for joining after 30 days. It has been four moths and they still have not sent it. They claim they are having issues with the cards and that they will be sent “eventually”. Bait and switch to get new customers. Buyer beware.

I insured my 7 year old dachshund with ASPCA and their underwriters (PTZ Ins. Co./ Independence American Ins. Co.) I supplied them with all the veterinary records and after their waiting period ended they accepted a full years premium. Later that year my dog was discovered with 2 herniated discs having never before in her life being treated for a similar condition. Surgery was performed and a claim submitted to ASPCA. They denied the claim using a technicality based upon a 3 year old x-ray showing a little calcification in her discs. Dachshunds (aka Long dogs) are known to be prone to some back issues and normally have some calcifications on their spine. If the policy was void or the calcification of discs condition was completely excludable based upon this technicality, they should have rejected my premiums on day one based upon this technicality. Yet they happily took my premiums until it was time to pay for the insurance my dog bought. ASPCA INS. AND THEIR UNDERWRITERS LACK INTEGRITY. I HAVE ALREADY FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE CA. INSURANCE COMMISSIONER. I share this experience in hopes it warns other consumers of the sharp and unethical business practices of this company and their underwriters.

They are a scam and don't help animals. If they do they only help dogs. The money goes to someones pocket not to helping animals. They are basically a marketing company. Save you money, give to a local shelter

The biggest portion of eveones donations go to the CEOs. Let's please boycott their bogus commercials.Spamalicious is delicious in the pockets of top 14 staffers.

They spend more money on their commercials & the head CEOs salary than on those poor, starving animals!! They are a true scam!! Tell the CEO to spend his money on the animals!!! I donate directly to our local shelters - food & supplies!!

Answer me one question. I see your ad on TV showing dogs with no food etc. If you guys are serious about their welfare, why your CEO takes million dollar salary. If he really is attached to the cause, he should not take more than let say 4 or 5 times of average salary in USA. Please hire me and I will do better job than current ceo in 250k annual salary.

I donated to this organization twice, and I'm suddenly getting spam mail and email from other pet donation companies asking me to donate as well. I am also getting spam mail from ASPCA.

My dog ate a prescription pill (hydroxychloroquine). I called ASPCA toxic hotline and, after identifying the medication, was put on hold for over 40 minutes. If it had been a serious issue I suspect my dog would have died during the wait. They then charged me $150 Canadian. A total rip off. The dog was fine after vomiting. I wish I had been pragmatic and simply googled the issue.
