The technician did what I needed: He gave me information that allowed me to contact the manufacturer’s (Canon’s) on-line tech support, which in turn gave me instruction on how to contact their repair center. I sent my product (binoculars) to that repair center. The last test will be to see if it gets repaired satisfactorily in a timely manner and gets returned to me for the repair price quoted, which I can’t report to you yet. Chris Riddle
