Signed up for this company thinking we were working with Amazon and would be refunded $1 (nowhere did I see that I was signing up for a subscription). Saw we were charged $56 dollars on our credit card statement, so called askanexpert to cancel the subscription. According to "jeff," they could cancel the subscription for $50 or we could cancel online and be charged six-month subscription, which we don't want or need. When I told "Jeff" that this was a shady business practice and that we just want to cancel the subscription with no extra charges, he said he would have his supervisor call us back. Supervisor "Jeff" then calls us back, says the same thing as regular "Jeff" and then hangs up on us. Amazon is also shady for allowing this company to look like they represent them.

I used the service one time and cancelled. I continually am charged $55 a month. They said I signed up for a year. NO WAY, THIS SITE IS A FRAUD.

The expert was very helpful, but this is a review of the company itself, askanexpertonline.com. This company is extremely dishonest and scammed me. I was online chatting with a representative from Broan-Nutone, a company that makes appliances. They offered me the opportunity to talk with an expert. I was sent a link and told on the Broan chat that there would be a one-time $5 fee. I entered my cc info and proceeded to have a text exchange with a very helpful person who was my “expert.” All good. Except that without my permission, I was signed up for a membership in askanexpertonline.com for $65/month, and my card was charged $70! I was not even notified that I’d been charged, and only found out by looking at my cc account online after reading reviews of the company. I quickly canceled my membership (within minutes of using the service) but the charge was not removed. I agreed to a $5 charge but feel that I was scammed out of the other $65. A reputable company like Broan should not be connecting customers to these thieves. I feel for the professional contractors and others who work for them answering questions. The man who helped me deserved the highest rating but I had to downgrade my rating because of the company’s dishonesty.

The cost of this service is deliberately hidden. I had questions concerning my Brother printer, which has experienced multiple paper jams recently. You can no longer reach Brother directly. They now shunt you off to Askanexpertonline.com. You are informed that there will be a one-time charge of $5. This morning I found a charge of $70 to my checking account!!! Do not use this service! They intentionally mislead consumers!

Well, I saw a price of five dollars and so I did it. I would never have agreed to $70 and that is what my card has been charged so I am very disappointed. This feels like a scam.

Company very confusing, They want upfront $ and membership with explanation in fine print. Will tell this unhappy experience to Samsung who evidently uses your poor serices. I rate you a negative 10+

Why would I wanna pay five dollars for a tech to help me out with that tech is already getting paid. I wanted to know was my situation a scam and I found out it is a scam from scammers calling me telling me I owe money when I don’t.

continued monthly fees which I had canceled after finding the not so obvious entry for monthly fees. Tried again to day and couldn't get through to billing or sales. I didn't want to talk to a technician.
