Misinformation
I was told I would be charged a $1.00 refundable fee to be connected to a doctor about my ongoing medical problem. Instead, I was charged $46.00 and was connected to a doctor who was not familiar with my issued. Now, I have no help and I'm out $46.00!

When you returned, you were greeted with a "Welcome Back" message and the pricing details for submitting a new question. The 'join fee' was not included as it was already paid during your first sign-up. With our monthly membership, you get unlimited questions in over 100 categories for 30 days, and you can cancel at any time. Alternatively, you can opt for pay-per-question billing if that better suits your needs. I’ve issued a refund for the membership charge and have confirmed that your membership is now turned off. Don't use this company!
This company has charged my account several times. Each time I've protested it and yet it comes back again. Do not trust this company. Once they get your credit card they will charge you over and over and over even though you have not used their services

Scammy, no referrals no help.
I just told the assistant that I only want a referral to check up on pre-existing issues that I've already had MRI for (showing serious issues but not the full picture so I need more due to ongoing undiagnosed symptoms). The assistant said the doctor could help then proceeded to take my money. Glad I came here first and see they don't do referrals of any kind. I've been prescribed medication from other online doctors. So I don't see how they can't do any of that. Makes me think it's a scam.

Almost fell for the same "legal" scam
Almost fell for the same "legal" scam that I fell for with Justanswer. Askdoctor will have you chat with someone for free, then when you're about to talk to a doctor, they tell you to just pay a 2$ "refundable fee." So you're supposed to put in your card info thinking "its ok, its just 2 dollars", and they have the terms of service available to click on in tiny print, but they don't make you scroll through it to then accept, like other more transparent companies do. So they count on you trusting that what was communicated to you about the $2 was the whole truth. So no upfront communication about the subscription, about the cost, or anything. No recipt for the initial purchase pf the subscription. Nothing. Just sneaky silence. They use the 2$ to get your info, and if you didnt notice until months later that they've been snatching $70/mo, and you communicate and show you havn't been using their services for those months, they still refuse the give you any money back unless you leave a bad review. They count on you just laying down and eating the cost. They sign you up for a monthly subscription, and if they are just like justanswer, they don't notify you in any way about having signed up for one. The terms of service even say they use justanswer policy. So they are all still the same scammers, just under a different name. Extremely dirty way of doing bussiness.

Company is sneaky with their charges
I appreciated the doctor's advice, but felt that the company was duplicitous in charges. When I spoke with the chat assistant, they said they would redirect me to a $1 refundable fee. They did not say that there would also be a $43 monthly membership fee and terms and conditions that would be assumed when I paid. To their credit, it did have that in the fine print, but up-front, I was only told about the $1 refundable fee and didn't think to check for other charges on the page. So they won't issue a refund - only the $1 was refundable. That feels like a very sneaky way to do business.
