Unfortunately, I feel as though their paid subscription is incredibly misleading, and overall left me feeling scammed and unsupported as a customer. I had a certain number of seats in my plan, and after reading through their support articles to add guests (concluding they were free), I invited guests to the platform. Months later, I determined that they had increased the number of my seats in the plan from 2 to 10 with absolutely no notice, notification, or consent. The only reason I noticed this months later when I was reconciling my bookkeeping. When I contacted support regarding this, they took days and weeks to respond, said I needed to change from a workspace to organization (but provided zero information on how to do this), and ultimately would not resolve this clear billing and systems issue. If you're using Asana, watch your bank statements closely, as they may be increasing the charges over time without your knowledge!

Untransparent menue. One wrong click and you loose 1K!!! Watch out!!! Customer care is a catastrophe… check alternatives…

I used Asana for a month, but unfortunately it's becoming complicated for me , so I switch in to Teamcamp.

This platform is total garbage, waste of time and money. Very hard to use. Every step has to be paid extra. No support. Shitty workflows. Horrible setup. Not intuitive navigation.

Many SaaS companies — especially those that understand the long-term value of goodwill — offer far more reasonable policies: • Notion, a challenger brand in the productivity space, provides pro-rated or full refunds if contacted shortly after renewal. • Basecamp, a best-in-class tool built by people who genuinely understand small business needs, has a simple policy: “If you’re not happy, we’ll refund you—even after months.” Asana’s approach, in contrast, feels outdated and overly focused on maximizing short-term revenue over user trust. That $265 may not mean much to a large enterprise, but for a small business? It’s a significant hit — especially for software that was barely used. I’ve now canceled my subscription. If you value fairness, transparency, and support that actually supports you — consider other options.

After you try the paid plan, you cannot go back to free plans because your projects are not visible anymore. They make it complicated to have back your projects.
