Orba, my little magical production pixie! The Orba is a small musical production instrument, a little friend that you can put in your bag, and with a pair of headphones, have fun creating music. The first handling is done very quickly, even without really having to look at the tutorials on the site (there is in the packaging a document with a QR code to go to the Ortiphon site to register your device. and find the tutorial videos). And thus create, and immediately very fun. It's not necessarily that you will make the next hit of the summer and thus conquer all the dance floors of Ibiza or your neighborhood, but it is a fun, inspiring creation tool and a brilliant live instrument for your live setup. by its gestural interactions "live" thanks to its "accelerometer". I have not yet tested all of its Midi controls aspect on my DAW (Ableton Live), but it is very very promising in the Midi driver it offers. He's a fresh newborn baby, so there will be (hopefully) updates that will make this little tool grow into a formidable stage weapon (and even more so in relation to our live DAWs). Bluetooth stability with the phone application requires improvement, which will come with updates. Artiphon, you have killed everything in the game! BRAVO and THANKS !!

Been a long-time Kickstarter backer, so backed this project as it was meant to be a sensory tool for my son's development. Sadly, after a very long time of development, my unit was stuck in Heathrow for over 2 months without any movement (about 2h away from me). I got in touch with Artiphon directly, who looked into the matter and resolved the issue by sending me a new unit. The unit itself is absolutely fantastic, and we as a family love playing with it. While comms wasn't the strong suit of Artiphon in the process of shipment (with some retailers receiving their stock long before backers did), the fact that Artiphon went out of their way to support me was just lovely, and the personal touch of getting direct communication from one source was what really turned this around for me. Thank you again!

I ordered my orba via gear4music and recived it next day did the firmware update as advised, sweet i love it, then i recived a email from artiphon telling me about some new sounds they have added i tried to test them out and orba became unresponsive i email artiphon and they resolve the issue right away. Im fully aware that orbas just a baby and will mature in due time.

Operates as described and in tutorial videos.

Ordered in August. Never got it. Support won’t reply. 2 months later I got a tracking number, but it wasn’t valid. This is theft!!!

I paid for my Orba back in August and until now, all I got from customer support is apologies. Like seriously, this thing must be a scam. Here’s the email I received from their customer support. “..I'm so glad you wrote. There was indeed a problem with your order (nothing on your end, something with our system). It looks like you were in a small group of customers who reserved Orbas and were supposed to get tracking shortly after that first email, and never did. ​ I just pushed the order through manually. It's now scheduled to be picked and packed this week, and I suspect you'll receive tracking within a few days. Please let us know if that’s not the case. Once you receive your tracking number we would recommend using our fulfillment partner’s site to access the most current information. Other tracking systems seem to be taking a little longer than normal.. and Thanks, Mary | Artiphon Support..” Like really? The problem is on your end yet y’all just realized that now? What about us who already paid for a product that WAS NEVER SHIPPED and NEVER RECEIVED? So if you’re thinking about purchasing anything from this company, you might wanna reconsider.

I paid for and ordered the Artiphon Orba several months ago and received a notice it shipped (although it has not shipped). I have sent messages to support to track my order and other than a canned message about how busy the company is trying to handle shipping, the company’s support is non responsive. The company has plenty of resources to hype on Twitter, Facebook, etc. But zero support, and worse yet the auto support message it sends out is untruthful.

I bought the Artiphon on the basis of positive reviews but my experience has been far from easy or positive. Software problems despite having all the correct gadgets to make it work.
