I ordered (and paid for) a 1/4 zip waffle sweater 25 days ago for $475 and have yet to hear from the company or receive the merchandise. I have emailed requesting a response with none with no response forthcoming. It's curious that there is no way to communicate with the company except through email. Makes me wonder if the company is legit or not.

The worst experience I've had from start to finish. Would never recommend this company to anyone. Putting on rusted parts is not acceptable.

Hi. I apologize that a defective side-adjuster hardware was used on your suit. I agree this is totally unacceptable. We took accountability for this, gave you a full refund, and have stopped using this manufacturer to ensure this does not happen again. -Dan

A supposedly new coat not only has several loose threads, but after I have worn it 3 times it has already started to come undone. A fraud Funny they say they don’t have any customer under this name when I they even sent me an order by mistake once and they didn’t even apologize for that. Asking me to send back the item for fixing 6 months after the issues it’s theatre. I already had a reliable seamstress fix the loosing threads which started coming out after wearing my jacket no more than 3 times.

We do not have a coat order from anyone by this name... If this is an authentic review, please contact our customer service team [email protected] - and we will gladly repair any loose threads or seams coming undone.

I was a big fan and customer of AOS since the early days (back to 2016). Over the years, I've recommended them to colleagues and friends, as well as purchased suits, coats, and other online bespoke garments. A recent experience completely soured my view of the Company and, needless to say, I am no longer a fan or customer. Details below. When AOS came out with the 'Essential' (MTO) collection, I purchased a jacket. Unfortunately, the jacket didn't work out and I exchanged it for a suit. Given I was exchanging it, the typical 20% restocking fee was able to be waived. When the new suit came, it was clearly a bad fit and I attempted to exchange it for store credit to use on another AOS purchase, this time, in the 'Signature' (bespoke) line, as it was clear that the MTO line wasn't working for me. When reached out to Dan to exchange the item and sent him photos of the suit and where I thought the fit was off. This isn't my first suit and I'm quite keen to what looks good and what doesn't. He responded saying 'its as good as it's going to get' with the MTO garments and he suggests I stick with the 'Signature' collection, which is more than 2X the price. He also said that the suit would be made better with alterations, although the fit issues related to the length of the jacket and buttoning stance, which cannot be materially adjusted in alterations. It was clear he was trying to get me to keep the ill-fitting garment. When I asked for an exchange, he said that, not only would he not exchange it, but I'd have to pay a 20% restocking fee for BOTH the jacket in my initial order, as well as the suit. Although I told him I'd just go ahead and purchase another AOS item, he insisted I pay this 40% restocking fee upon sending back the suit. I looked through the site to see whether there was any mention of this policy, or anything related, and there was nothing. I had also not been informed that this was even a possibility when placing my exchange order. A 40% restocking fee for items that cost over $1,000 is absolutely outrageous and predatory. At this point, it became clear that I had been taken advantage of, nickel-and-dimed, that my loyalty over the years was not valued at all, and than the Company only cares about selling garments, even ill-fitting ones to customers it "cares about" (despite preaching customer satisfaction, fit above all else, etc). When I reached out to Dan via text to try and remedy the situation, he essentially said there is nothing that can be done and then just stopped replying to me. Unfortunately, this was my last time buying AOS products, or recommending them to anyone.

suggestions: if you ask me what swatches to bring to a trunk show, bring the swatches. would've ordered at the trunk show, instead had to wait to view the swatches. don't wait a month after my order to tell me the fabric is no longer available if i ask you the status of my order, can you be more responsive than 2 weeks fit issues were not what i was expecting based upon the press, you get and put out. despite whatever issues you're going through, you do have competitors, in my case, i'm afraid they won.

Hi Ronald. Dan Trepanier here - founder and CEO of Articles of Style. My apologies you had a poor experience with Matthew at our Trunk Show in San Francisco. I was supposed to be on that trip (and bring fabric books), but I tested positive for Covid and couldn't cross the border from Canada. I'm sorry for the delays and stock issues, fabric supply and staff shortages affected us during and after Covid. Things are moving much better now, and I hope we can make it up to you!

Sucked. Horrible experience. I told the dude originally that virtual was garbage and this was before the plandemic and everything was done virtually because the people are lazy and my shacket was poorly fitted and so was a vest. I would not recommend these people to my worst enemy. Save your hard earned money and go to an actual tailor fellas.

Hi Moises. Dan Trepanier here - founder and CEO of Articles of Style. I understand you prefer the in-person experience, and I hope you were able to find a good one. I truly believe in the digital service method and this has been our focus since day one with AOS. I can recommend some in-person tailors if you have not been able to find one that is satisfactory. Thanks anyway for giving us a try. All the best!
