Not a private tool but public social media. Stay away.
I started using this tool a couple of years ago. It was pitched as an AI assistant who could help with writing specific art documents, and help you talk about your art. I was curious what it would do. I created an account, uploaded a few paintings (making sure they weren't going to be used for anything else), and while it did come up with some interesting things it was no different to using ChatGPT or Claude (I'm 99% sure it's run on ChatGPT). So I stopped using it and just left it. Every now and then I'd get a spam email suggesting I use it for this or that, but I just deleted those. But a couple of months ago I started getting emails which said "[person] has liked your painting". I was confused, because how was anyone seeing my paintings? I just uploaded them for the AI to comment on. Well this morning I had a bit of time so I logged in to see what was going on. First, I couldn't just log in. I was forced to "complete my profile". I gave it as little info as I could to get in and found the site is now a social media commmunity. All my images were now set to public and had been connected to my profile. They never mentioned this pivot, they just went ahead and did it, which is astounding to me in this day and age of concerns with AI and copyright theft in general. When I used the site I was looking for private personalised help with selling my art. Not to join an artist community. How they think this gives anyone a good perception of ArtStoreFronts as a whole I have no idea. I removed all my images and deleted my account (to do this - top right, dropdown, settings. At the bottom "danger zone" section (yes it's really called that), delete account). If you need help with writing art documents, or would like an AI view of your art to help you talk about it, just ask ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini for free. I didn't see anything special about the info arthelper gave me, even before they used my account to make their own social media platform.
