had service tech out to the house because of A/C problems they didn't fix any issues wanted to sell us new equipment, I've been in the trades over 40 years. I called for another A/C company for a second opinion they came out and fixed the A/C unit within one your.

I had ARS Rescue Rooter out today because my TRANE unit was not cooling properly. The technician said I needed refrigerant called 410a which is about $80 per pound installed. ARS wanted $1348 for 6 lbs of refrigerant and said I needed aprox. 3-4 pounds. My TRANE unit is 5 years old so I knew it didn't use the old refrigerant that is slightly more expensive than the 410a so this technician tried to rip off a senior citizen over $1000. He also stated I had a leak (another $200) plus up to $3500 for the repairs on the leak. Today I had a reputable company out. It was $75 for one pound of refrigerant I needed (not the 3 to 6lbs the tech said I needed) and $100 service call that included the fee to find the leak of which was under my TRANE warranty. Labor not included was $300. I was quoted up to $3500 for that $300 fix by ARS. I called corporate and they said that the prices come from the corporate headquarters and the fees they charge cover their overhead and expenses. They must have a jet for every employee that works for them. FYI DON'T USE THEM!

The initial responder was respectful and expressed a willingness to assist during my plumber emergency. His supervisor arrived and tried to gauge services. He expressed how bad my plumbing was at this newly purchased property . Instead of him trying to assist me with my immediate need , removing water from my basement and fixing the refrigerator line, he instead tried to take advantage of me and tell me that I needed the whole house repiped for $28,000. He did not care to help me with the immediate need. Instead it was an all or nothing attitude and I felt this was extremely unprofessional. I will never use this service again and I will encourage others not to as well

We had a new SpacePak AC System installed by ARS of Manassas in November of 2019. We noticed a leak in our bathroom under where the unit was installed in the attic on June 11, 2022. Upon looking in the attic, we saw that the system’s condensation drain line had been installed with a blow in it, causing water from the unit to leak back into our house. We of course turned off the AC to avoid further damage and immediately called ARS the next day to have someone come out and repair the system. While we were given an appointment for someone to come to our home four days later, we could never get anyone at ARS of Manassas to speak with us on the phone so we could explain the problem. We called repeatedly and were told each time that the management was in a meeting and would return our call, but they never did. Because we were not able to speak with someone beforehand, the technician that arrived was not aware of the details of our situation and was not prepared to repair the system. Upon inspecting the system, he immediately observed that the system had been installed to the condensation drainpipe incorrectly and that he would need to call another technician out to address the issue. Two and a half hours later the second technician arrived and agreed that the company had installed the system wrong, but also did not know how to fix the issue. Finally, after another two hours, a third technician was called to our home. This technician refused to fix the issue at all and claimed it was not ARS’s responsibility to fix their faulty workmanship. After ARS refused to take responsibility, we called a licensed HVAC company to look at the system and how it was installed. This company not only agreed that the system was installed improperly, they also flatly stated that the installation of the system by ARS violated multiple building codes. Worried about the mold from the leak, we had Servpro do an inspection and they confirmed that we did have mold and it was caused by the faulty installation of the system by ARS to the drainpipe. Throughout this entire process we have repeatedly attempted to reach out to ARS so that they can fix the install and address the mold. When we were able to speak with someone at ARS we always received the same response, “someone will call you back within 48 hours.” These calls NEVER came. First, we were told by the manager of ARS of Manassas, Marisa, that Paula in quality assurance would call. Nope. Then we were told by Teisha that Sybyl Herber, their analyst, would call. Nope, didn’t happen. We finally spoke with someone named Tina, who mistakenly thought we had an unpaid service bill and, after explaining the situation to her, she promised us that Mike Lindsay, the Operational Manager would return our call within 48 hours. Well of course, he also never called. They claim they provide a 100% money back guarantee, but they will not even return your calls or accept responsibility for the damage they 100% caused by their own negligence. We have now been without AC, in 90+ degree weather, for over a month as this process has dragged on. I literally have nothing to recommend about ARS. Their work is so bad as to violate multiple building codes. You can’t get anyone on the phone and when you finally do, they refuse to take responsibility for their shoddy work. I would never have expected a company as big as ARS to be so dishonest.

ARS put in my Central Air last July. I hired them through Home Depot here in the San Diego California area. I was happy with the installation and the installers. They got my job done within two weeks after signing the contract. Pretty fast. Well it's almost a year and I've been trying to get them to come and due a routine inspection of my system to make sure things are in good standing in case I have any warranty issues later on. I scheduled an apt. back in May and the day of the appointment I had to call them to find out where the technician was. They apologized and said they had a new company taking over the scheduling for this and to contact them. I did and they said the tech's were too busy with emergencies and could not come out that day. Of course I took time off of work to be here for this. We rescheduled. They called me the day before that appt. and had to reschedule again due to emergencies. This has happened 5 times now they keep rescheduling even when they say they put me at a high priority due to my inconvenience. I cancelled the whole deal and will be looking to have the inspection done by another company. It's my fault for trusting Home Depot after not using them for a number of years. Looks like nothing has changed.

Paid for yearly maintenance on April 15, the tech fail to tell me the Freon level was low after i purposely asked him about the freon level. A month later i had to call another company to put 2lbs of Freon in the system. The Ars tech also failed to clean the drain line which started leaking in the return. Called Ars back out they charged me $534 plus $119 trip charge to clean the drain line. This is after they stud me up twice on service calls. They didn't even offer to refund the maintenance fee i had already paid. I feel like they completely ripped me off and i will never ever call ARS for anything ever again.

To be honest. I dont even know where to start. When my AC went out in the end of May and the house started to get hot the only thing I thought about was how to get the house cold because of my animals. So after making a few calls and nobody was available ARS answered my call. Their response and appraisal went about without a hitch. Install took a good day with 2 people. Even tho those 2 installers damaged the house the AC got installed fairly easy. Tooke me several calls and weeks to get the wood which they broke to get fixed but more about that later. Anyway. I got all kinds of fancy warranty certifications on paper. Anyway. 1 week after the install I had to call because the AC was not going down to the desired temperature. A service guy came to the house, walked in and changed the temp and walked back out. Never looked at the unit. That didnt fix anything. So we called back and they brought in a "Expert" or so he called himself. He was at the house for about 45 min.... 2 weeks later we had the same issue. Temperature not reaching desired grade. This time we had a local service manager come buy. Long story short. Today is the 3rd of July. Its been 5 weeks with this "new" system and we are about to have our 4th service call with a brand new system. No. This system needs to be either picked up and uninstalled or replaced. Not happy.
