Better returns than other conservative investments
One word: returns. Returns on rental houses and the Real Estate Income Fund are comparable to or better than CDs or bonds while the minimum investment is much lower.
Since these are securities, returns work a little differently. Interest on bank accounts, CDs, bonds, etc., are prorated for how many days held out of the month. Returns from Arrived investments come after the end of the delay period (up to 3 months) and act more like dividends paid after the ex-date. Plus fees for early termination if you need the money before 3 years.
It would be more user friendly if the system was more liquid, but the holding periods keep the values stable.

Pre experience
The sole element for a beginner is a complete explanation of the mechanisms and explanation of the secondary bidding process. This would, in my opinion, encourage the new bidder to be more comfortable and provide a positive experience for the first timer.

Your returns are WAY less than expected
Your returns are WAY less than you expect. Invest $1500 and get $1.62 -- your ROI is almost zero. Nice idea, but it doesn't work to make money. Get a CD.
