Aroma360 promotes their Wireless Pro…
Aroma360 promotes their Wireless Pro Diffuser as a device that requires monthly oil refills, offering continuous scent dispersion with minimal maintenance. This "set it and forget it" convenience justifies its higher price compared to conventional diffusers. I subscribed to an oil plan with a six-month contract for the diffuser in December. Six months later, when I went to change the oil, I discovered that the diffuser had leaked extensively at the base, causing it to fall apart and rendering it inoperable. Additionally, the leak significantly damaged the family heirloom dresser it was placed on, which had recently been resurfaced at considerable expense. I contacted customer service on July 13th to report the damage and request a cancellation of my subscription. I was instructed to schedule an appointment with the technical issues team, who subsequently informed me that, since the diffuser was out of warranty, my only option was to purchase a new one. I expressed my concerns about purchasing another diffuser of the same model, fearing it would have the same issues and potentially damage more furniture. Despite this, I was transferred to customer retention. The customer retention specialist, Elvio, requested images of the damaged furniture and started a support ticket for the damage. He notified me that Sophia was going to reach out. He offered to send a replacement diffuser of the same model, which I declined, reiterating my lack of confidence in its reliability. He then transferred me to a sales associate, Josh, who attempted to sell me a more expensive diffuser and oil package with a 36-month contract. Josh also revealed that the issue with my broken diffuser was common and that it had a limited lifespan of 300 hours and was meant to only run 2-3 hours a day, with no scheduling functionality on this model this contradicts the "set it and forget it" appeal they attract buyers with. Following our call, I did not receive any follow-up from Sophia, who was supposed to handle my furniture damage claim. After further inquiries with Josh, a supervisor named Eunice contacted me, informing me that they would send another diffuser of the same model and offer three oils valued at $37 each as compensation. Additionally, I continued to be charged for an oil subscription despite my repeated requests for cancellation. My attempts to negotiate fair compensation were met with email bounces and unresponsive customer service. This issue has now persisted for ten days. I am still being charged for a subscription for a broken diffuser, and I have only been able to communicate with sales representatives attempting to upsell me. In summary, it appears that Aroma360 entices customers with entry-level diffusers that promise effortless operation but are prone to failure. When these diffusers inevitably break, customers are funneled to sales representatives pushing more expensive models, with little to no effective customer service available. I am requesting the following resolution: Fair Compensation: I request a VanGogh360 diffuser and one 500mL fragrance bottle as compensation for the damage caused by the diffuser. This request is based on the estimated cost to resurface my dresser, which is approximately $1,112.50, as evidenced by the following resources: ● Maritama Home Price List for Refinishing Furniture: $350-$1,700 ● Furniture Repair Network Refinishing Guide: $800-$1,525 ● Angi Furniture Refinishing Cost Guide: $300-$2,000 Subscription Cancellation: Immediate cancellation of my subscription without any further charges. Refund: A refund for the most recent charge for the oil subscription tied to the diffuser I do not want.
