Update Your Site. It's 2025 people...
This was one of the only online courses that actually held true to their statement that it only costs $4. All of the other classes that were approved by my county (Manatee County) that claimed to have cheaper prices actually just hid the fact that they have an additional required fee to charge users by the state, which costs and extra $15 or so. So of course I went with this particular driver's course to save money. The one thing I don't get is how these websites are designed, and why they aren't more contemporary, sleek, and modern to increase traffic to these sites. Most of them were honestly very visually unappealing with garish graphics and boring color palettes. This is 2025. By this point my expectations are way higher, and I think the companies should also hold that standard as well. Anyways, back to the NiSE program. One thing they don't explain to you are what the "holding times" mean, which appear at the bottom right-hand of the screen. You have to take that amount of time on the same module until that holding time runs out, and you can't move forward until you do so. I understand the purpose behind this, but most of us just want to fly through this without spending hours of our precious time relearning a lesson we may have already learned the hard way. I took one look at the module list and groaned. So. Much. Content. Luckily everything is well organized and straightforward. I agree with the people who comment on the sites lack of interactive things to keep engagement up and lively. It's like a textbook. But without images. Or videos. Or any fun creative graphics of any kind. Again, it's 2025 and I expect so much more from this company that's made it so affordable for people to use. There's no excuse to have a boring, plain website in this day and age. Especially when you're catering to a wide group of people.
