I love the publishing of my books, the art work is fantastic, the people are great. With the Covid year here, it took so long to publish and I still haven't received my marketing kit yet. Everyone who sees my books has good comments about them, and the art work especially! Kids love them and that's why I write them.

My feedback on the service at Archway Publishing
My feedback can only be honest, helpful, and constructive.
From the first person I encountered at Archway Publishing to the last, I tell you all, despite the COVID lockdown and difficulties, they all managed to represent the company with high courtesy and professionalism.
Time frame, service quality, design, editing, communication, and last I am in love with my book, LIFE'S DETOURS, ALEXANDRA'S CHOICES!
What can I say, Respect to you all!

As a first time author I found many…
As a first time author I found many aspects of the publishing process confusing and at times frustrating. I wish Archway could have been more up front about the total cost and time involved. Never the less I will be going with Archway on my next book and now that I know what to expect I feel things will be much easier. I want to thank all the staffs in all the departments for their help and good work.

I don’t really have all the answers…
I don’t really have all the answers compared to the money I have paid for marketing. The book is published with a few mistakes partly my fault. Hopefully, we will resolve these issues together in the near future.

The Archway representatives whom I…
The Archway representatives whom I dealt with were courteous, helpful, patient, and, overall, wonderful to work with. They made the process of publishing my book a pleasure every step of the way, and I am very pleased with the final product.

I will not ever recommend to anyone…
I will not ever recommend to anyone else. The entire process was delayed, poorly communicated, and my book was treated as if it was unwanted and just a number.

Very professional and quality design
Every step of the way, my concierge (contact person) described well what task needs to be done, and how long it will take. For instance, she would tell me that the design phase takes 2 to 3 weeks. She described each phase, and why it’s needed. At signing the agreement, I received documents that explained every single step and phases in the publishing process.
There was one miss, though. I was told the line editing would be done in 4 to 5 weeks. It took 5 extra weeks. That caused me a lot of aggravation. Line editing was suggested, that I accepted. This is editing where intensive structural edit focuses on the finer aspects of language – the flow of ideas, transition elements, tone, and style. However, when the work was returned to me, I saw very few such corrections. I paid some $1000 over what was needed. The interior and exterior designs were beautiful and catchy. They gave me three choices for design. After the design, I was given opportunities to make further modifications to the content, as long as they were not too extensive. This is normal in any publishing house.
I was never pressured into any service that I felt I didn't need.
Everyone at Archway publishing was courteous and professional. This is the fourth book I publish, three of them “self-published,” and AP has been my most pleasant and satisfying experience.

My Experience with Writing With Archway to Guide Me
I am 83 years old, a retired pastor, and decided to try and write a book. I knew no publishing company, so I began looking. I found a young man named Jeff Stevens who told me about Archway/Simon and Schuster. I had recently been blessed with a few thousand dollars of extra money, and entered their program. They led me every step of the way, explained each part that was new to me, and they were patient with my slowness at times. No pressure, no attempt to change my ideas or writing direction. I recommend them highly.
