Internet ArchiveReviews of archive.org

Terrible service that doesn't even work most days. There are server errors and outages left and right. It is totally unusable. No longer a viable reading option.

What is required to be able to archive more links to the Wayback Machine? I sent to the company but you can't archive more websites per day because it overloads the servers, and today I could only archive 4 today and then get a message: You have reached your daily bandwidth limit. Please email us at "info @ archive.org" if you would like to discuss this more." But there's no point in sending to them then and discussing this and knowing that I could archive more before per day. You don't have time to save that much of a page before the page is shut down. The year is 2026 but the website is still overloaded and it's unsustainable that you can't archive more than 4 URLs per day.

I had not visited this site in a few months. It now seems to be a right wing propaganda spewing machine. Seriously, in a drop down menu, one option is "Donald tru#Sp's Tweets". Movies I previously found easily no longer exist on the site.

The fact that this has not 5 stars tells you how useless trustpilot is.

When contacting staff regarding a problem they appear to deliberately misunderstand a query or simply don't understand it. this is despite explaining it several times. The website itself is great, but don't waste your time trying to get any semblance of understanding or help from their staff.

I don't know much about this so I'm not too sure if I trust it

I'm disappointed by the amount of negative reviews for one of the most important websites on the internet. The Internet Archive is an excellent resource for documentation purposes. People seem to be complaining about their lack of being able to access lost content/media that they cannot watch, while failing to realize that the reason they are unable to watch/access such content is because the wayback machine does not host the content. The internet archive is really just a massive collection of static pages. Also, the Internet archive makes it easy for webmasters to remove their websites from their search engine. That's a MAJOR plus! Great resource!

i use this website mainly for old discontinued programs or for operating systems like windows xp or 98 SE isos so i can run the systems in a vm
