Hi Chimere Heard Thank you for your detailed feedback—we completely understand your concerns. For darker fashion shades like midnight blue, the color is typically deposited more on the surface of the hair. When exposed to high heat (such as curling or flat irons), the pigment can shift and reveal the lighter base color underneath, which may appear as a sandy brown. That’s why lower heat settings are generally recommended to help preserve the color. The scent you noticed is usually related to the coloring and sealing process. Deeper shades require more pigment, so a slight residual smell can occur at first, but it should fade after washing and proper ventilation. As for tangling and shedding, hair that has been pre-lightened and processed tends to have higher porosity, which can lead to dryness, tangling, and some shedding over time with wear. We’re really sorry to hear that the wig didn’t hold curls as expected, especially given your experience as a licensed cosmetologist. That’s definitely not the experience we want for our customers. Since the wig is a blonde body wave, it has been pre-processed to achieve the color, which can sometimes affect the hair’s ability to retain curls compared to natural darker hair. That said, it should still be able to hold curls with the right method. We usually recommend using a slightly higher heat setting (within a safe range), paired with a strong hold setting spray, and allowing the curls to cool completely before styling. A light mousse or holding foam can also help improve curl retention. We truly value your feedback and will share this with our production team to further improve our products. Regarding the “glueless and ready to wear” experience, we understand your frustration. Fit and styling preferences can vary, and we regret that this unit required more adjustment than expected. As for the drawstring causing a lump at the back, this is not the experience we want for our customers. The drawstring can sometimes create extra bulk depending on head shape and adjustment, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused.
