My order quality ( dress ) was fine but it needed to be returned due to the size. I had to ship it myself and am still waiting for my $168 refund. My emails have not been acknowledged. I will not shop here again.

I was excited to find a locally based cottagecore brand but they are so disappointing. I received a defected product in my order so I reached out to customer service before doing any kind of return (as suggested on their website). It has been over 1 month since I have written to them with zero response. No matter how good your products are, if your customer service is shit you are going to lose sales. Do not buy from this place, do not encourage poor CS and brand management.

I've been a long time customer, and they do carry good products, hence the 2 stars rather than 1. But recently I have only received a partial fulfillment of an order and have waited a month to receive the rest. I have emailed and left messages for customer service and they do not return my calls or messages. No live agent can be reached on their customer service line either.

These dresses look and fit exactly as anticipated but the quality of the fabric is not what I expected. One dress I anticipated to feel like a med heaviness linen-cotton (what the picture looked like) but instead was almost as thin as gauze. The other made me feel hot and uncomfortable immediately as it is some sort of mesh material, likely plastic, and it smelled like some chemical when I opened it. I feel the quality does not match the price.

I am so disappointed in what has happened to April Cornell. My favourite summer dresses are from April Cornell, but they are from several years ago when the quality of the cotton and the quality of the colours was far superior to what the company is putting out now. They have cut corners by using inferior, rough cotton which does not hold its shape. Not only does this affect the look and feel of the garment, but also the colour, as poor quality cotton does not take colour well. The good quality sewing is wasted on these inferior fabrics. The colours on their website are a tribute to photoshopping and do not reflect the actual colour of the garments. Be particularly wary of ordering anything in the fuchsia or pink range as the colours on their web site bear little resemblance to the colours in person which tend to be muted and earth toned and not the lovely cool colours that appear on the website. It is ironic that the founder, April Cornell, claims to be focused on colour. If only the company would return to using the better quality cottons of 5 years ago, I would be a customer again. Be prepared to wait for several weeks for refunds and you may have to ask the credit card company to reverse the charge. Buyer beware.

I ordered a dress, a cardigan and a hat. The clothing was nice enough, but I wanted to exchange the damaged cardigan. The invoice said if I wanted to make an exchange I had to contact their customer services first. Only, there is no customer service. At all. And I don't mean they are rude. I mean, they don't exist! I called and waited "in line" until they hung up on me. So then I called and (obediently) left my number and a good time for them to call me back. But nobody ever called. So then I called again and waited. They disconnect you after an hour or so. Then I left more messages. No answer. I emailed. No response. There is no customer service!

I wish I knew about this company before I ordered. I bought a dress, it looked pretty on line, but it seemed cheaply made. I needed to return this dress. Initial shipment cost me $12, to return it they charged me another $12. So I am out $24. In addition it was 3 weeks after I returned dress, and I still did not have a refund until I contacted them, then suddenly my refund appeared, minus $12 for returning item. Not good at all. I would not recommend doing business with this company.

Terrible customer service. I have contacted them via email provided 3 times with no response (tried calling and was told I “had to contact via email” for my type of issue — not receiving something I have been charged for) very frustrated. I would not agree with reviews calling this a reputable company.
