I purchased dishwasher parts on June 1 and, after they arrived, realized I had ordered the wrong items. That mistake was entirely mine. I contacted customer service to arrange a return and purchase the correct parts. They agreed to waive the 12% restocking fee as long as I purchased the replacement parts, returned the unused items at my own expense, and provided photos of the unused parts, my appliance's model/serial number, and the return shipping label/tracking information. Unfortunately, more than six weeks later, I'm still waiting on the full refund. I've received two partial refunds that still don't add up to the amount I'm owed, and I've had to call at least six times for updates. Every conversation ends the same way: I'm told the issue has been "escalated," accounting has been notified, and I'll receive an email with an update. That email never comes. To be fair, I also contributed to the delay. I misunderstood the return instructions and initially sent only photos of the parts, not the return shipping label or tracking information. About three weeks later, after realizing I hadn't received any refund, I had to track down the shipping details and send them in. Even after that, the process remained disorganized. The company was confused about which order should be refunded, despite the returned package including the original invoice. They initially refunded the lower-priced replacement order instead of the original purchase. Then, when the refund was revisited, they attempted to apply the 12% restocking fee that had previously been waived, forcing me to remind them of the agreement. Once again, I was told that "accounting has been notified." I genuinely believe the front-line customer service representatives are doing the best they can, but the communication between customer service and accounting is clearly broken. Customers shouldn't have to repeatedly chase down updates or correct mistakes that the company is making internally. If you're 100% certain you're ordering the correct part, you'll probably be fine. But if there's any chance you'll need to make a return or exchange, I'd strongly recommend buying elsewhere. Getting a refund from this company has been far more difficult than it should have been.
