I had a mixed experience with Anytime Fitness. While I appreciate the convenience and quality of the gym itself, I must express my frustration with their billing system. It raised some serious red flags for me. Firstly, their customer service being limited to email felt sketchy. I encountered constant issues with my biweekly fees, and they consistently blamed my card for the problem. Oddly enough, their system always managed to deduct $24, which included the $5 membership fee plus late fees, but struggled to take just the $5. It left me feeling like their billing practices were questionable and designed to put the blame on members. Despite this, I believe the gym itself is good, but their billing process needs serious improvement.

I had an arrears amount with Anytime Fitness Durbanville, I've been going through a divorce and was ill so I was behind on everything, so when I asked Anytime Fitness to send me an updated link to make a payment (the link they had sent previously was not working), Heinrich told me he would send it, Heinrich did not send this link. When I tell you I got a Whatsapp from him saying it's the "last time" he's going to contact me about this, I was shocked. His response was that he had sent it to me "many times" that month, completely ignoring the fact that their link does not work. He also told me that I was ignoring their messages, I don't know where "amp up the antagonism when a client is in arrears" is written in Anytime Fitness' customer care manual, but it's not translating well. Geen fan van anytime, je betaalt 20 euro meer dan andere sportscholen, je betaalt daarnaast een of andere drink kosten om de half jaar dat is totaal 34 euro en het gaat om water, chocolade melk en koffie wat je toch niet wilt. Heel flauw want waarom moet je extra kosten betalen terwijl je een dik bedrag van 48 euro betaald per maand. Je krijgt ook een sleutel waar je voor betaald van 35+ euro die je niet eens terug krijgt, daarnaast willen ze het nog eens berekenen bij me eerste maand dus let heel goed op wanneer je hier inschrijft, wel gecorrigeerd na contact maar dit is een slechte fout. 1 maand gesloten door corona en je krijgt niet eens je geld terug, basic doet dat wel. Je krijgt een gratis maandje waar je niks aan hebt want je traint er al....flauw. Sportschool zit ook vol met stof, ik kan daar niet tegen. Buiten dat is het personeel heel vriendelijk en professioneel, ik heb wel gewoon kunnen trainen maar dat is ook de bedoeling van een sportschool. Heb een beter ervaring gehad bij basic en fitforfree, yanga is misschien wel iets wat anytime kan gebruiken.
