I think the advisor was very courteous and professional but the proposed policies I was shown were not as good as what i received from others.

There must have been a misunderstanding between the original contact person, and the person who contacted us, as I had no desire to purchase anything. I needed an explanation, which I eventually got across to the gentleman. If I had to pay for the services by the minute I would have been totally dissatisfied. However I got some information from the conversation, thus my "average" rating.

I was surprised that the 'Index' to be used would be the BNP Paribas Multi Asset Diversified 5 Index. I thought for sure it would have ben one of the major stock indexes. This idea substantially underestimates the return and therefore substantially underestimates the annuity return that I should expect from an 'INDEXED' annuity. The fees of 1.75% and .95% are greater than I expected over the twenty year term of the contract. Respectfully, Jim Greehey

Initial contact was expedient. product was identified and information sent. However, the fine points and pitfalls of the annuity suggested were not fully explained. After researching a 60 and 115% fund index rates I noticed that after the initial period of 12 to 24 months the participation rate on the index could potentially be lowered to 10%. taking the potential 6 to 8% average gain rate to approximately 0.6% potential. and that is the plus side. protected investment at virtually no gain is not what I am looking for long term.

I was given incorrect information about taxes, I’m glad I didn’t go ahead with the transaction.

After talking to the gentleman about My up comming retirement I figured the information I was told would not work more than a few years at best.

Annuities are a very weak investment vehicle for the investor. I guess Gator does help pick out the best of a very poor group of investments. Therefore they get a average rating. Love the name Gator though (is that maybe a omen that you will get Bit LOL)
