Although I had paid for unlimited data, I was disappointed with how infrequently the data network was available. We had been mostly traveling in populated areas and found that the data availability was around 50% of the time. Although the service was helpful when available, it was too unreliable to be considered as an option.

Went to Israel for a week & needed a phone. I checked prices and features of several phone services & found Amigo U.S. to have the best of both. When I arrived in Israel, I replaced my Verizon Sim with the Amigo Sim in my iPhone & it automatically registered and I was ready to call. I had no problems with either calling or internet use. Definitely a good deal.

The work with Amigo was pleasant experience. All arrangements were simple and best on the market.

The purpose of using Amigo was to have phone available as soon as I landed. The phone was no activated until I called and as a result ended up having to rent a phone at the airport. As a result of the time differences it took half a day before the phone was usable. The people I dealt with were friendly and helpful, but the experience was marred by not having the phone when I needed it

The Amigo pickup was super easy at a nearby Chicago UPS store. The problem was numerous dropped calls during my 1 wk. rental.

When I ordered my sim card for Israel, they told me numerous times my plan will have unlimited 3G internet. Half way through my trip I get these texts in hebrew saying I used up all my 3G internet on my plan and have nothing left. I tried calling Amigo and they told me the 3G was full and there is no way to add more. I asked them why they told me I had unlimited, and they said they never did. IF YOU ORDER FROM THEM PLEASE KNOW THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE UNLIMITED INTERNET.

Slow connections and a little expensive. Was more convenient that finding a store in each country I visited to purchase a SIM card. However, I am sure it would have been cheaper with faster data service if I did my research prior. Connecting to messenger and Whatsapp were fine. Text and talk were fine. Downloading emails and searching the browser were challenging due to the slow connection. Fastest data service provided is 4G.
