So I go in to get a crown thats supposed to be replaced due to major gap forming and root being exposed. Dentist office and i both called before we started procedure and were assured I was covered at 100%. Keep in mind I got this crown done out of pocket in mexico in 2020. They denied my claim stating they only cover a crown every ten years. Even if its medicallt failing. There's no rule apparently that bypasses the ten year gap. Then I asked how does that even count if you guys never covered it. They stated it doesnt matter. Ive been paying these assholes for years and the first time I need something major, they screw me over in the middle of getting my work done. Now Im paying 800$ out of pocket for a crown that should've been covered. Screw ameritas. Also their customer service is shit.

I signed up on line and paid the money for the plan- about $42 at the time. I never received any documentation . So today when I saw a charge again from them on my bank account and I called for a refund and cancellation they refused the refund- said they do not give refunds . So they have collected the money for no service . Please be careful dealing with this company they are no good in my opinion

I have paid this Insurance company for benefits for several years. When it comes time for them to pay any benefits, they find reasons to deny or pay any reasonable amount. They are a WORTHLESS Insurance company and should be avoided at any cost. Update 10/14/26. Ameritas responded by telling me to call them. I have called them after their response, and it's always the same. They are sorry for being a WORTHLESS insurance company, and they love to take your premiums, but hardly pay anything on claims. Never use Ameritas for anything, the Nebraska Insurance commission should investigate this fraud company and shut them down.

Shady as f... You can't even look up your own cards online if you are a dependent and doesn't cover much. Ended up having to pay over 300 out of pocket for a tooth extraction because they would not be upfront with my dentist on coverage.

A customer service rep for Ameritas admitted to me that they have long-standing IT issues that prevent account holders from requesting transactions. When I asked why, given their awareness, the problem hadn't been fixed, he claimed ignorance. When I asked if I would be notified when the IT ticket he supposedly submitted on my behalf was resolved, he said "no; there are only 6 people on our team".

Absolutely no idea how to run a business, website is a disaster and customer service is non existent.

This company is 100% fraudulent, they should all be in jail Signed up for 100% coverage on just about everything and I was paying for the privilege it is more expensive than most. Only to find out they don't even cover 40% They don't cover anything, avoid at all costs. This is the worst insurance you can possibly imagine, Predatory underwriting, they don't cover anything

Been with them for years,moved told em to move autopay to the 1st, just found out that they didn't listen moved it to the 24th and I'm a retiree and they took my last food money and now I have to go hungry, they hate American Veterans and this country. Look at the way they treated me!? Talk about what how you made me go hungry because you refused to listen to me,the customer, you made it all about you, you even made me go hungry here in America the country I served. Despicable behavior to our veterans. I'll tell you cockroaches one thing if I was employed at your company,that veteran would not go hungry, even if it meant sending it out of my own pocket via Western Union. But scumbag companies don't do that because they hate our veterans.
