American Web DevelopersReviews of americanwebdevelopers.com

The mockups looked amateur, the code was buggy, and communication was spotty at best. When I asked for revisions, it took forever and they still didn’t get it right.

I needed a website for my craft business. Brian Davis made a fantastic logo and website however, I didn’t know until probably 7 months after going live my site was only set up to fulfill any orders only from California. I found that out from Jeff Williams. Whether that’s true or not I’ll never know. I started working with Jeff. I thought things were going well until, he claimed I needed to add this and that that of course costs extra. For example, a live messaging on the site. At the same time, I was getting emails from “ customers” asking questions. I refused to put any more money into this project until I started seeing revenue from my site, which I was not. Then a couple more months went by, I was talking to Jeff about the fact that I still had not had any orders. Magically, I had 2 orders!! Turns out both those orders were bogus. I believe he put those fake orders in. I kept asking for a report for the site. I never got one even though he said I had the views and customers had my products on their carts. I wanted proof of that. Never got that either. Then, I got hundreds of emails per day from the same “ person” along for discounted prices. Mind you, the day I started getting those, he said a customer was asking about discounted prices. I mentioned to him that I was getting the emails he told me I was going to get scam emails. I told him I realized that and to please stop sending them to me. He told me it would cost more money and a different program to stop them. I didn’t fall for it. I went through the emails once every 2 or 3 days and deleted them. The emails went on for a few months and about 4 weeks ago I got a call from Charlie Dunbar. He told me a lot of people weren’t happy with Jeff and he was taking over. I told him about the emails and wallah the emails stopped! I’m really questioning whether my website is even active. I have put a lot of money into it and am absolutely sick over it. The main reason I chose AWD was because they claim they have a money back guarantee. What a joke!! I've told them I want a refund multiple times. They. say it's too late. I want my money back!!!!

Sent a logo I created and was using and contracted for help changing certain aspects (e.g. color, font). The good news is that they did a good job doing exactly what I asked them to do. However, almost immediately after services and payment were rendered, I began receiving multiple texts and calls indicating that I needed to pay >5x what I initially paid for in order to transfer copyright so I could use what I have (and created and owned already). Note that no indication of this "need" was given on their website, pricing plans, in any text or email communication, or in any form or contract. Yet, this has not stopped them from attempting to hold my logo hostage for more money. Fortunately, I know intellectual property and copyright law enough to that I owned the rights prior to ever contacting them and did not transfer it to them at any time. Nonetheless, I receive a harassing text or call every other week indicating that I need to pay more money for my own "protection". Buyer beware!

Absolutely horrible experience. Took months to get strung along and then still ended up with a site that isn’t even what I ask for or paid for even when I sent them examples. And then wanted me to pay more again. Do not use them!

Brian Davis Is the worst to deal with . we payed them $6300 Half needed to be refunded because of dispute case open against them for not delivering the website. Any way website got delivered but never worked properly . Now I’m ways 6 months to get my $3k back but haven’t received keep hearing lies this week next week keep checking my bank every day . We decided not to use website because didn’t work properly and we Wonna cut ties with this worst nightmare. Haven’t got any money from them yet . Will have to proceed with lawsuit . My advice better donate your money than giving to this company. You will be buying stress and trouble with your own money.

I hired all branding solution in the beginning of June to create a marketplace ui/ix web application at 3999 they sent me some nice logos and secured the domain. I was confident. Then he sent me a link to a template design I was starting to become skeptical. Then they called and texted maybe 5x to tell me I needed to Pay them an extra 5k for the server even though I was under the assumption that we’d be using low cost cloud based server. He said he could only offer it to me at that price for x amount of time. I was busy at the time thank god or else I probably would have sent it. He told me it would cost me 12k in the future if I didn’t buy now. I said not until you show me something. He hasn’t shown me anything. They were stumped for a week on how many pdf links to have available for one of the document storage options. For a massive site. Thats crazy. They won’t refund you and they’ll keep saying it’s 100% money back guaranteed. They don’t understand the concept of my site let alone shown me anything that can confirm they can build it. STAY AWAY!!!!!! I’ve lost sooo much money trying to find a trust worthy company. This isn’t it!!!!

Tried using them to build simple website, they charge your credit card upfront, once I was in touch with a developer my original quote of $300 went out the window and was told my website would cost over $3,000. Wouldn't refund my original $300, I disputed on my credit card thinking that would be the end of it. Without any further notification they rebilled my card after it was disputed. Shady company, basic bait and switch fraud, where services are promised at one price to get you in the door, and then you are given the "real" price.

This company has had my previous review flagged even though it was true. This company is completely unorganized and has no sense of customer service. It seems to run by men only and no one would give me the owner or a proper management info or phone number to contact. They also have caller Id and will not answer your calls when they don’t feel like it. No real office number, no real set work schedule and they pretty much do as they please once you have paid them. Very unprofessional. I’m a small business and wanted a new website and it comes with a logo. They took a week to do a logo I could have done on canva myself because I had seen something similar and told them that. When I asked for a refund b/c the turn around time was taking too long they asked me to give them another chance and that I’d work with someone else. I agreed b/c I’d already invested time & money. The website that they were building was ok but I felt like I was just settling b/c it was taking weeks to get done. Every minor change or detail that could be done in a few minutes they would wait 24 hours or so to make. I wanted to work with a professional to upgrade what I had previously but working with them has been a nightmare. When I had finally had enough, almost a month later and no finished website I asked for a refund and Chris started to lie about what happened and when I corrected him became very irate over the phone. I was finally promised a full refund but they wanted to pay me back half on week then the other half the next week. They didn’t send the second half as promised from the agreement. I have since been given my full refund after much back and forth. This is one of the worst experiences I’ve had since I’ve started my business.
