My first order was cancelled with no communication to me. Then I went to track it and saw that it was cancelled. I ordered again and it was supposed to be to me over a week ago. They can't tell me where it is, but they also won't cancel the order now. Worst online ordering experience I have every had.

Horrible customer service and support

If I could rate this negative, I would. This is the second time I had a return that was rejected saying it was worn. My daughter literally tried on the shorts and they were so big they were falling of so I immediately packaged them up and sent them back. Only to receive an email saying they were sending it back to me. When I then contacted customer service trying to resolve this for over 30 mins, I was told I had to take a picture when I received it and send it to them. If there is any indication of it not being new, it isn't my daughter's fault, it would be the team in warehouse when they opened up the package. So how will a picture prove anything other than that AE has decided to treat their long-standing customers like criminals. Apparently it's better to hire customer teams to spend 30 minutes telling customers that they can't do anything, and pay for return and then a re-return shipping than to have a decent customer experience. Shame on you American Eagle. You've lost my business and that of my daughters and friends. DO BETTER!

I would leave 0 stars if I could. This is the WORST and I mean WORST customer service I have EVER received in the American Eagle in the North Conway Settlers Green Outlets. First of all, all of the sales racks and clearance racks either were not marked or marked wrong. Shorts were on the racks where it said sales for dress and shirts, and when we brought this to the front desk when I was checking out, the lady was not hearing us out or listening to the concerns when the ending total was way more than it should have been. I continued to let her know calmly that the tags were marked incorrectly and that’s why we were confused, then she proceeds to say “you can say that 100 times but I’m not going to change them.” Isn’t that your job? Why would you leave your customers blind sided and confused when they’re asking simple questions? I come here every year with my family and this is the first alteration I’ve had in this store, and as a whole this franchise has lost numerous customers just from this trip to this American Eagle. Children shop here, and the lady that checked us out concerns me for those kids that could experience what I just did.

There price adjustment policy is horrible. Customer service was no help at all, even after speaking with a supervisor. I asked for a free shipping coupon and they said that they had previously used one in 2020 and could not have another. 6 years ago!

Not happy. I needed to return an item for a refund as it was too small (they do not offer exchanges). They provided a postage sticker and then took off $20 for postage for snail mail. I could have posted it to them for far less. Won’t be shopping with them again.

i, I went to your store today in Tanger outlets Kanata Ontario to EXCHANGE, not return two sweaters that I had received for Christmas and were too large. I had picked one of the exact same sweaters in a different size and the other sweater I couldn't get so I was exchanging it for a similar sweater. I had my original receipt but hadn't noticed that my husband took the tag off to wrap it as it had the price on it. The plastic part was still hanging from the sweaters. I was told that I could not return the sweaters as I did not have the tags (even though they were the American Eagle sweaters and I had the original receipt with me). I was frustrated but relented. I told my husband and he quickly checked the AE bag and the tags were in it. He took a picture and I went back in with my proof. I was still denied and told that even if I brought the tags in with the original receipt I would be denied because they were not attached. Half the time when you try on clothes the tags fall off. Does that mean you can never return it? This is the absolute worst return policy I have ever encountered. I thought I was doing everything right. I have shopped at AE for many years and never had this problem. Other people need to know about this.

Ordering online is a nightmare ! My first experience was placing an order and they didnt even ship , i contacted customer service 2 days before the expected delivery day and they asked me to contact them on delivery date! I did and the refund was received 5 weeks after delivery expected date! I placed another order two weeks ago , two items one of them was shipped via purolator hopefully will arrive on time and another was sent via asendia which is the worst courier company on the planet ! Two says after ( shipping label created , not picked up yet) and it’s three days already to the delivery expected date! I contacted customer service and they told me that I can return the items when I receive them but will only get the refund ( 6-8 weeks after return) It’s a cheap company that doesn’t give a damn for customer’s satisfaction and all what they care for is to take your money!
